Hi there

does anyone know of any support groups for people who have lost a family member to suicide? I had two family member die within a few days of each other and looking for a group to join.

I dont know any groups, hoping someone can post some, I'll put the wor dout among other community champions.

I'm sorry to hear of those sad event, some of us here have been in your situation. My brother and uncle went that way. Also my sister and I (and likely my brother) all had/have bipolar. So my sister and I attempted in the past.

Now, the information I can pass on to you is this grieving period will slow and settle over time and time is the only real healer, but groups can suit some people, after all the actions dont make sense to many people and that lack of understanding needs to be pursued so you can move on...albeit eventually.

It is a tough time and a time when family need to stick together. I have no other words but to wish you all the best.

Welcome to the BB forum and I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your family members, I too know only too well the pain that comes from this. I didn't go to a support group as part of my healing but I am in the process of trying to find something that might be suitable.

I got some wonderful counselling and the support from the amazing people here on the forum, as I still do to this day. It is such a very hard time and my heart goes out to you and your family.

We are here to chat, to support and to listen, to be a friend and help you through this time.

I will continue to search and post up on here when I find something for you.
