What I want to go away today!

Hi Everyone,
While replying on a different thread, I came up with this idea due to a comment the person made about "wanting it all to go away".
This is a thought I am sure many of us have experienced! It may help if we can express what it is that we want to go away, and than look at ways of dealing with those thoughts, how we can change life to be more beneficial and consider the good things of the day.
I will make a start with my own list of things I'd like to go away:
- waking up in the morning thinking oh bother, here comes another day!
- depression, dizziness, poor concentration, headaches, back ache, neck ache...etc!
- not having employment
- juggling conversations with a husband who may be on the Autism spectrum but declines to be assessed
- the days are heating up...I'm already looking forward to winter!
- feeling like I need to struggle with my thoughts every day
- uncertainty, wanting to run away frequently
I know that if I continue to entertain these thoughts, they will just keep on growing into something even more terrible. I can consider ways of making my life better. Starting with one of these issues at a time.
Okay, now any of you have an opportunity to share.
The next step though is to be thankful for something today despite maybe feeling like the day has been less than average.
Today I am thankful for: the laughter I shared with a lady in the Op Shop today. Who knew that folding plastic bags and chatting could be so much fun!
So what do you want to go away today, how can you help to lessen the impact this issue has on you, and list something good from your day.
Cheers all from Dools

Hi MrsDools (Another Great thread topic by the way!)
I wish judgemental people (to what I stand for) would go away
Just for me it hinders my progress on rebuilding my self esteem

Okay....
I want all the unhealthy fear to go away that is inside my heart. I am sick of it crippling my life.
I want all self pity to go away and to never be swallowed up by again by it.
I want all despair to go away.

Hi Everyone,
There are some great posts here, it is lovely people feel free to join in all over this forum.
Today I would like my almost constant tiredness to go away! It would be nice to have more energy!
The good thing is that over the years I have learnt to pace myself and have recognised my limitations. So in a way, that means I have been looking after myself! Well done to me! I will acknowledge and celebrate that fact!
Hey aegidius, I don't understand no fly screens on windows or doors! I have a friend who will not kill anything at all, so allows mosquitos to buzz around his head all night as he tries to sleep! To me there are limits.
Cheers all from Mrs. Dools

What I want to go away:
- relapsing. I hate it so much. It just eats away at you and knocks you down so far.
- the rising rate of violence. A member of my community I know fairly well got attacked yesterday, and to think that that can happen on your doorstep for unprovoked reasons is sickening. Watching the video of him running for help whilst holding his chest and a passer by did nothing, was shocking.
- depressing thoughts that creep up on you when you are starting to feel like you are slowly beating them
I am thankful for:
- MUGABE HAS RESIGNED!!! I am so sorry if I got political, but to have lived under that regime and seen the pain first hand, it is such a wonderful moment to see my fellow zimbabweans united, and he is finally gone.

Hi zimbos05,
Thanks for sharing. I am so very sorry to read of the things that you wish would go away. I do understand relapsing and how difficult that can be.
Thankfully I've not encountered violence for a long time now, it is distressing.
It would be wonderful if the world could be filled with a greater sense of acceptance, peace and fairness. It breaks my heart to see the injustices that happen.
If I can find a small way to make a difference in someone's life for the positive, even if it is a smile for a stranger, I feel a little better about our world.
Thinking of you zimbo05 and all who are struggling for one reason or another.
Cheers from Mrs. Dools

What I wish would go away today is pretty simple. My personality. Me I suppose.
I wish I wasn't extremes. Either happy or miserable. Confident and arrogant or worthless and useless.
I wish the extremes of emotion would go away. So I could relate to people how normal people do. Either I care too strongly and get exhausted. Or it just gets too overwhelming and I push and argue and be arrogant to push people away.
I am thankful for...
My very well used and practiced skill at apologising for hurting others. And being able to swallow my pride and admit I am wrong. Even if it hurts and puts me right back at feeling worthless.
I am thankful for a new day tomorrow and a chance to pick myself up for the billionth time and try again.

Your post sounds exactly how I have been feeling lately....
I know it sounds weird....but knowing someone else is having the same thoughts and negative energy ....makes me feel not so unusual

Thank you Gwen 777.
I really appreciate you saying that you got something out of what I wrote. Today's not a good day I'm sorry. I will look for your thread and read your story tomorrow if that is ok.

Hi Everyone,
It can be reassuring knowing that other people feel as miserable as you do! It is good in a weird kind of way to have that confirmation that you are not the only one!
What I would Like to GO AWAY today:
-people answering phones or even face to face encounters with people who work in a "mental health support" place who will not tell me what services they can provide!
-my anger that arises with in me due to the sheer frustration of the situation!
- walking out of a Mental Health Support place even more confused than when I walked in.
I'm thankful I was able to control my frustration and just walk out of there with out having a panic attack or melt down!
I learnt there is not point attending that "mental health support service" if I want assistance with mental health issues!
