Many people reading will rleate to what you wrote. i can. i dont sleep well and have not for years whether I am depressed or not.
If you look there are threads about sleep which may help. I used to find the one day ok the next low more difficult than being down all the time.
I am glad you could write down how you are feeling.
Feel free to keep posting as you are not alone .

Hi Rishie
I went through the same thing last week and suffered from vertigo as a result. Felt like I was on a plane all week. I struggled through a week of housework. Eventually I became so exhausted that I slept like a log on the weekend. My house is quite noisy when everyone is at home. In fact I slept so well that I didn't hear any of the noises that usually get on my nerves. All is cured now.
For the time being, are you able to watch some tv to relax (if you're too tired to go for a walk)?

I wrote something similar recently on another thread, but it might be useful.
I have a theory...
Imagine that you were not looking forward to tomorrow. That "tomorrow" was something that you did not feel motivated in any way to reach in any kind of hurry.
Now in reality, time is moving at the same pace. You cannot slow it down or speed it up. However, sleeping is like a fast forward button. When you sleep... consciously you get to tomorrow quicker. You kind of "jump" ahead to the next day.
But you are in no hurry to get to tomorrow. In fact you are not looking forward to it at all in the slightest. And by staying awake, "tomorrow" takes longer to get to. No fast forward. And your brains subconscious knows this and stops you from being able to fall asleep.
However, around about the time the sun it about to rise. A lot of insomniacs happen to fall asleep. I think this is because with the imminent sunrise, staying awake can no longer postpone tomorrow... now the only way to postpone it a little longer is actually by falling asleep. Which many people who struggle to sleep often do around this time... even if it is only for a few hours.
The problem with severe depression is that tomorrow rarely feels like it's going to be a good day. Tomorrow is a just another day that you have to dig deep to find the strength just to get through AGAIN.
I think this might be why so many people with depression suffer from sleeping disorders. On a subconscious level I think they are in a condition of permanently trying to "postpone tomorrow" from beginning... which as a result leads to insomnia after a long enough time period has passed.
