dear Ted, I'm sorry but this happens only because you haven't overcome these demons, it's like that yo-yo post that was on before, where we feel good but then it only takes something minute to set us off again, it's so annoying and so painful.
You have been and hopefully still will be a great contributor to so many people helping them with all your experience and knowledge, so you have this ability to do this, and you wouldn't do it unless you wanted to.
These negative thoughts are still able to upset you, and that's understandable, but when you have overcome depression you still experience these awful thoughts, but the difference between someone who is depressed and to someone who has overcome this illness, is that, I have learnt for them not to worry me, and then to divert my attention onto something else, whereas you take a couple of steps backwards, and suffer from them.
This is the strength that I have gained from having depression, and eventually you will learn to this strength.
There are times when I can relapse, and it has happened, but I know that I will get better maybe in a couple of hours or later on, whereas someone who still has depression will dwell on these negative thoughts.
Over time you will realise that you will get better and stronger, and your on your way because of the empathy you say to others when you reply to them. Geoff.
