Hello, new to this site
I have been have some mood swings recently. I'll be fine when I wake up, then I'll suddenly slip into a dark mind frame without any warning. I don't mean to sound dramatic, I know mood swings are experienced by everyone and it's quite normal. The only reason I have thought to post this is because it's been a consistent problem for a bit over a month and occurs multiple times a day. It puts me back into one of the worst mind frames I've ever had - I just want to make sure I'm not blowing thing out of proportion before I seek help (I'll have to take days off attending uni if I decide to see someone).
I have bipolar (therefore have had experience with depression and anxiety), is this kind of mood swings normal or should I be worried that my mood disorder is acting up?
(Note:my bipolar has never behaved like this before)
Thank you to any and all who reply to this and feel free to leave your own experiences in your reply, we might even be able things help eachother 🙂

Hi Rockmelon,
May I suggest talking to your doctor, or health practitioner about your change in mood swings? It may be that your condition has changed, and maybe certainly worth some more investigation.
I am by no means a health professional so I don't know what 'normal' is for bipolar. The only thing I know about 'normal' is what my early sobriety mentor once said to me: "Normal is a cycle on a washing machine my dear, and no matter how hard you try, you ain't ever gonna become a washing machine!"
Hope I didn't cross the line there by tryna be funny. Certainly don't mean to offend. But yeah, best advice I got is to maybe go see a professional and just be honest about the changes.
I wish you all the best. Keep us updated, yeah? Take care. xox

Thank you for your reply
And do not stress about offending me, sometimes you gotta be funny to help lighten the mood a bit 🙂
I was thinking I'd have to go see someone but was hoping to avoid it for personal reasons. But I believe you're right - also didn't know that the condition could change how it surface do that's nice to know as well
Thanks again
