Feeling Like Trash

Hi everyone,

I hope you don't mind but I'm not really looking for a solution today, honestly? I'm just struggling to talk to someone about my latest depressive episode and I just want to vent a bit to people who won't judge me or look at me like I'm a freak.

I woke up today, and I just felt utterly miserable. everyone's been telling me I should be enjoying my holidays and relaxing but without a strict schedule to follow I feel like I don't have a purpose, which then makes me feel frustrated and upset because I feel lazy sitting around on my butt while my dad and siblings are busy working. unfortunately as many of you might now, all of my anxiety just builds up and explodes.

Lately, I've also been feeling lonely. I've been trying to date and hang out with some school friends but I've just been finding it really hard to feel motivated to do any of that without feeling exhausted. I know I should try and be social but I feel awful because I've admitted to myself that I don't enjoy being an extrovert, simply because I don't feel like I can trust people.

I'm really sorry to bother everyone, but I just wanted to vent and feel a little better.

I hope your all managing your conditions well,

Infinity

Hi infinity and everyone ☺

You poor thing it's awful feeling unmotivated and so many guilt and down feelings building up.

Good on you venting btw. I hope you feel better for it and know you can here anytime there's always people listening moreso than posting so as you probably do know you're not alone which I hopes of comfort.

If I can just throw in a suggestion, I have a lot of similar rot often.

Depression makes us hyperfocus on negatives only. I've learnt a lot here and with psychs etc what can help is looking for positives in your life whether memories of good times or goals or simply things that are good like you can see hear walk etc, sounds basic but while you're thinking of goods bad thoughts cant consume you at the same time. Might be a song you like a friend that makes you feel good dancing drawing etc.

Deep breathing can be of great help we tense with anxiety.

I'll go now because you said so nicely you're not after problem solving ☺

Do you have any hobbies at all. I'm considering firing up PS2 and or Xbox which I havent in ages.

okey dokey nice chatting.

Hope you find your way to a better place.

Times a great thing it moves us along with it.

Catch ya ☺

Hey there Infinity 🙂

Just wanted to let you know that I have read your post and that you’re not bothering anyone by writing your post - that’s what we’re all here for, to support each other.

I know the feeling of not feeling motivated. But I feel really great now, after a terrible bout of debilitating anxiety a number of years ago. I have a few little setbacks sometimes - I think stress can be a trigger - but when I bounce back to feeling good, I realise that pushing through those hard times is so worthwhile.

I sincerely hope you’ll find some happiness and fulfilment in your life. It’s so worth it.

Big love and hugs. Xx
