Hi guys, going through a pretty dodgy patch mental health wise, so very irritable at people, at problems, today it was at myself, I think really alot of it is my mood but I take some of the responsibility. But yeah hoping the next few months pick up because things havn't felt too pretty. I'm gonna try and keep things basic, go to bed at set times, live a more ordered life, I think the problem with my body is stress and from what I know cortisol with people with mood disorders, you have to keep it in check. I've been between work which isn't great for mental health as many people know but I've been trying to get something through a job agency that is manageable, that has been a bit tricky judging my own capabilities , anyways there are a few good opportunities so hopefully I can sort that soon. Anyways all the best to everyone

hiya Fred2018 - was going to say welcome and then saw your post count - welcome back?

It sounds from your post you are trying to do all the right things with sleep etc. It sounds like it is a bit frustrating for you at the moment with being irritable. I can do the right things and still have depression, be irritable. (Actually my wife and daughter say that about me most days!) At the moment being in between work would not be ideal either for your mental health.

My wife also lost her job recently. Had to write a new Resume and used a professional service online that helps you write it, making sure it includes the words/phrases that sell yourself. It also helps by suggesting things you might not think of otherwise.

If you want to chat some more, I am around.

Tim

Thanks for your practical resume advice Tim, thats good they have those services for people isn't it, I suppose some people also go through recruiters to cut out the need for CV's thats another option. I have put in for a roles and getting some help through an agency. Volunteering in between has been helpful aswell. Yeha the irritability is a problem I have tried to fix with medication but I would the pyschologist has helped in some ways., I'm at least aware of it, I think some of it can come from a mixture of anxiety and lack of control , if you dont feel incontrol internally then maybe things outside of you that annoy you be more triggering. Its depression is a few things as you sound like you know.

Hi Fred

Good to see you again! I see Tim has been saying hello above...he has really good attitude...Hey Tim

When you mentioned " I'm at least aware of it" is always a strong sign of a proactive person...which you are...The irritability is definitely a part of having a tired brain.....Ive been irritable recently too with having sporadic anxiety problems...I hear you loud and clear Fred..Im still on my meds...and they work well

you are spot on when you mentioned if we dont feel 'in control' internally we seem to have problems with outside matters that annoy us

I hope you are happy with your CV......I used to read many of them from applicants as I have spent years in the private sector and I know the longer a resume is the more difficult it is to digest

Whats happening on the weekend?
