Forums guidelines - @Mentions (Draft)
Using @mentions
@Mentions are intended to support clearer discussions within the Forums.
- @Mentions must not be used in ways that pressure, harass, or single out other members. This includes repeatedly tagging someone or tagging them to demand a response.
- Members must not use @mentions to request assistance from Sophie_M, the moderation team’s account. If moderator support is needed, please use the Report Post button or email modsupport@beyondblue.org.au.
- @Mentions should not be used to bring specific members into discussions in the PTSD and trauma and Suicidal thoughts and self-harm topics.
- Members should not use @mentions to draw attention to a discussion or to tag people who are not already participating.
- Community Champions can be mentioned, but they should be treated like any other member and are not expected to respond.
Misuse of @mentions may result in moderation action, which can include:
- Editing or removal of posts
- Warnings to the member
- Restriction of access to the @mentions feature
These measures exist to maintain a safe and supportive space for everyone.
