What Do You Collect/Whats Your Hobbies?

Most people have some sort of hobby. The enjoyment and satisfaction of a hobby is a great way to be at peace.

Who remembers the old K-Tel records of the 60s and 70s? Who's still got them? Yep,I kept mine. Mind you I started collecting the 70s compilation hits albums like Whopper,Ripper,Ripper 76,Explosive Hits 75,Bobby Dazzler,Unreal, etc. Got a great collection too.Even bought the 45s and those box sets of albums like Readers Digest, etc.

As for books I like collecting books. Usually on my favourate cars. I have a lot of self help books. I like things from the past like old toys just like the ones I had as a child. Nothing like brightening your day by looking at old toys taking your back to your childhood.

I love your pic, Ly. I've only recently been introduced to the ST world, and have gotten as far as S3 of TNG. Data is def one of my fave characters. Especially when he's trying to be human 🙂

Hi,

I still have things I collected as a child. I hope to give them to my kids if they show an interest. Stamps, Coins and Erasers.

I have a large collection of early Magic The Gathering trading cards.

My hobbies include painting, crochet (especially toys). I love arts and crafts and love going to markets and fetes. I love the theatre and go as often as I can. I enjoy exploring new places via road trips. I love playing games of all types electronic, board, dice and cards. I love reading, sci fi/fantasy is my favourite but I like nearly all genres and my home is filled with bookcases in every available space.

Emma, I love your profile pic. When he walks down the street in that hat, people know he's not afraid of anything.

Thanks LG 🙂

I think Vera helps with the not being afraid 😉 Though the hat definitely makes me not afraid of Jayne. Well, not AS afraid!

I collect bells. Dont have a large collection but do have a shelf in my wall unit that houses them. When I went overseas I wanted a small memento of each place I went to so I bought a small bell from each city. Love my bell collection and hope to gather more along the way.

I love playing video games (not very productive, I know) and also collecting figurines related to my favourite video games! I wish I could post a picture of my display cases and my figurine collection, I'm quite proud of it, if I may say so myself!

Great post! Hope I'm not too late to reply.. I used to collect a lot of self help books, like Louise Hays, CBT, Russ Harris, Dale Carnegie, and many more. I've started to write poetry which is a great release and expression, also used to love playing guitar and piano, though I've really lost touch and motivation for most of these. I'd like to try painting. I do tend to binge watch Netflix and You tube, and love being close to water and nature. There's a nice duck pond and park that I visit sometimes. I sit under a tree and just people watch - wondering what sort of lives people live. I love spending time with my pets and my family when I can. Sometimes I'll do some colouring in, which I find very relaxing and centering. I am about to start scrap-booking - have always enjoyed crafty activities. I used to make macrame when I was little (it was fashionable then!) I'd really like to find more interests, so hopefully this forum can give me some more ideas.

It's never too late to reply.

I collect dust, purely because I move so slowly haha. On a more serious note though, I enjoy music. Listening to and making it. I like to play guitar and ukulele. I used to dabble with the piano and of course, the best instrument of all time, the recorder. I also like to sing, a lot. It keeps my head in check. Video games and Netflix are awesome too. Yes I do them both at the same time. Who said men can't multitask.

I also enjoy building computers. Taking the time to route all the cables and plan every step of the way is quite soothing.

Haha yes I do a bit of dust collecting myself. Ukulele sounds like a lot of fun. I guess similar to guitar but maybe a little easier? I love singing too, but haven't been blessed with a singing voice lol still it's fun now and then to bellow out a tune in the car etc. I've just started painting and so far I'm really enjoying it. I can barely draw stick figures, but painting seems to come a little easier to me thankfully lol. I may even start giving some away as xmas gifts. Starting fairly basic - You tube has some great tools for beginners. I've just painted some flowers onto a sunset background. simple but effective. A man who can multi-task? *Gasp* Lol. I tend to have several things going at once too. Like BB and Netflix and a book I've been meaning to read and social media... but I do love a task that has me so completely immersed in it that I forget about everything. Music and painting seem to do that for me.
