I got to admit,I love reading at the best of times. Those of us who love to read tend to get the most out of books.I'm a big fan of books that I can learn from.Self help books, relationship books, etc. There's something worth learning.I even read up on dating books just to relearn some skills. As a guy I also love the guy stuff, cars, hobbies, interests, man cave, etc.

What book are you reading? What books are you reading? What helps you?

Thanks.

Like Artemisia I am also new and also have a thing for books.

Currently reading Wilhelm Reich's Mass Psychology of Fascism and Rosa Luxemburg's Reform or Revolution.

Neferata-hi. Your book choices sound a bit more high brow than my current selections.

Hi Artemisia, as long as it keeps the brain ticking over I don't see much difference in classes of literature.

Hi Neferata, Artemisia and everyone else,

I’m more into sci-fi, fantasy and thrillers than anything else, although I do love reading in general. Any form of writing that is well written will catch my eye and keep me intrigued.

I’m currently reading 📖 Typhoon Fury by Clive Cussler. It’s the latest book in my favourite of his series, The Oregon Files.

Has anyone else read some of his books?

Hello everyone

Just saw this thread and as I am reading a book now thought I would share it. I read mostly non fiction and books that make me think. I am reading a book about ethics and it has many quotations . I also am reading a book about a man from wales who worked with Frued then helped him escape Germany.

Is anyone else reading?

Hi all

Lovely idea for a thread. I've just finished reading two fiction books by Katherine Pancol, The Yellow Eyes of Crocodiles and The Slow Waltz of Turtles. Beautifully written - who dunnit, comedy, social/relationships.

Have two books at the moment that I can't get into - returning them to the library today.

New book from the library

The Red-Haired Woman by Orhan Pamuk (Winner of the Nobel Prize)

I've read a previous book by this author - My Name is Red. Something very different, but I enjoyed it tremendously.

I love autobiographies and other non-fiction. Just finished A Bold Life by Kerri Anne Kennerley.....really enjoyed it....next on my list is Rebel with a Cause by Jackie Lambie......I'd also like to read The Trauma Cleaner, another new non-fiction......

I like anything by Aussie actor William McInnes especially Worse Things Happen at Sea, co-written just after his now late wife Sarah Watt was diagnosed with and dying of cancer......definitely not a "woe is me/us" story.....actually very funny in places and poignant......I admire William McInnes immensely..

I struggle with autobiographies. My thoughts are they'd make me sad. Though I do like William McInnes, might try reading his to see how I go. Always looking for something new.

Thanks Moon.
