It would be so great to have a thread here where we can chat about almost anything. We can have fun, tell jokes, share stories, you name it!

There's a "BB Cafe" thread in the general area where lots of people chat daily and have established some nice light hearted conversations, it's treated as if it's a real cafe, there's even virtual baked goods and coffee!

Let's create a chat here for anyone to join, in particular the GLBTIQ community to let their collective hair down and chill out. It's a safe space to be yourself.

Hello all , dng & mmMekitty you both keep late or all hours . Do you sleep ? I sleep but usually early to middle of night . This change of season has knocked me about a bit and last couple of months has been big to , some simply amazing and some at the other end of the spectrum . " Such is life " .

Many things which are interesting and badly needed are starting to happen in my area of late . In the town 130 east there is progress in creating safe space and visibility for gender diverse folk . We are slowly giving our people some normality in the society out here . Depending on what your diversity is , will dictate what century the societal understanding is based on ?( for me is 17 or 1800's ) This of course is meaning there is a huge amount of work to be done ? We will chip away at it relentlessly and pave the road for those behind us . Much to be done .

Hey Jo,

I am thrilled things are happening in your area.

I just about tore my fur out when that plebiscite was on. I didn't understand, why not just amend laws to be more inclusive, Why am I having to ask and obtain approval to marry anyone, from a whole nation of people, when others don't? I resented the whole thing. & I don't even want to marry someone, so how offensive for those who do?

How hard the struggle has been for recognition, let alone acceptance and inclusion. I can recall when the goal was for 'tolerance', like when, if you would plese put up with my existence, we just might be able to be in a room together.

I am glad people demand more than that. As one of the horrible ads for make-up says, "you're worth it" (no, you don't need make-up to have self-worth!)

Sorry for all the foot prints LD and I made. It was so good LD was up and running around, I could not resist. Rename 'the Flash'?

Have been journaling a lot in bursts lately and yesterday was no exception . In between the great things that are going on in our very widespread community there are very long gaps and the isolation is deafening . There is an opportunity for the waves of dark to flow in at these alone times . They can be accompanied by many tears sometimes and seem incomprehensibly stupid when in company but bite like hell when alone .

I am trying very hard to unlearn old emotional patterns from old life and keep needed bits etc . This is proving incredibly difficult and getting the sorting of the jigsaw right is at this time extremely difficult to work out the bits needed and those to ditch .

All is quiet across the road but history tells me that wont last ? ( ice ) . This has myself and LD on tenterhooks the whole time and being that this is home and was,once an ok little town but not now is wearing me down .

Fatigue means questioning myself on all levels and you know the rest .

I love your last post and as you can see it is about just being and celebrating ones self . I have never been unsure of Jo but am shy out here and don't trust people who are still living in the seventeen hundreds !

& look what the cat dragged in this morning! You will never guess, I found a trampoline. It works too! Where can I put it?

You can have all the wasabi, Jo. That can't be good for cats. (Not to mention all the other things I eat and drink - just today!)

I got to sleep, under the stars, earlier than I have been lately. But I woke early too. I was not happy about it, until I found the trampoline.

Noisy as the Pride marches can be, and how uncomfortable all the noise - especially the whistles we had, it sure felt to come out as a group and hold our heads and banners high.

Rural areas have always been more difficult for people who don't 'fit in'. The stigma and rejection, vilification and persecution makes it particularly difficult to combat, especially alone.

It's so tough sometimes, I am just glad to have something to celebrate.

What a lovely day in adelaide hills today, wife and i had some time at the local "bike kitchen" community gathering, took a bunch of nice photos and did a bit of canvasing locals. Showed a family of american immigrants our most significant uphill ride within 5 km of the bike kitchen.

Those guys just flew up the hill whilst i plodded along.

Feel a few delayed onset muscle soreness coming in. Back, thighs, rear neck. c'est la vie.

I'm teaching some of those mice to do acrobatics on the trampoline. I have these little wings to stick on the...what do you think? The silver glitter not too much?

Say, what do you feed bikes? No, that's not a question with a punch-line to follow, though I wish it was. If anyone can come up with a punch-line, I am open to any suggestions.

Of all the things I had not managed to learn when I was a child, it is bike riding I wish I could have learned, so you are way ahead of me. It was a problem of finding my balance on the thing. I don't stay balanced on half my paws without tipping and swaying, and reaching for a wall, or something.

But here, you just roll over and I will walk all over you...😸

Oh what? It's been nearly five minutes since I wanted something to eat. Hmm, let's see... Ah! I found some crumbed squid. You ever wonder why I would like seafood? I mean, I don't like getting all soggy with water, so why would I be out there catching fish, when there's perfectly good food on dry land?

Hello all , dng and mmMekitty , you both have been busy ! dng I would have lost my hill climbing endurance these days as,it is flat out here . Easy to do k's if wind is not to strong though . My trike has been on rollers now for quite a few years , does quite a lot of easy k's . I miss the camaraderie of like folk in bigger towns to . ❤❤❤

As I said yesterday I think , most of the weekend has been journaling . Need a new book this week . Times like these make you appreciate that others have such full lives and here the clock ticks on as it always has and will , I expect ? Sometimes I do wonder what it is all about ?

Have a look at you tube channel at the top , these,are all filmed by one of Antonov family , they fly the biggest aeroplanes in the world . They talk in Ukrainian so dont understand that part , but the rest is universal . Been watching them for ages , like family . ❤❤❤
