It would be so great to have a thread here where we can chat about almost anything. We can have fun, tell jokes, share stories, you name it!

There's a "BB Cafe" thread in the general area where lots of people chat daily and have established some nice light hearted conversations, it's treated as if it's a real cafe, there's even virtual baked goods and coffee!

Let's create a chat here for anyone to join, in particular the GLBTIQ community to let their collective hair down and chill out. It's a safe space to be yourself.

LD is hiding now as she had all her hair cut off and now she must wear a jumper , specially at night as her insulation is gone . She will be the wait person , please be nice to her as she resembles a rat for now ! Hot drinks and porridge or eggs on chilli suppressor salami & bread or toast ? ❤❤❤

Hello dng , tilling the soil sounds good , I remember as a child where I grew up for a bit you could get the shovel and dig , and big shovelfuls of dirt easily lifted and flipped could be easily broken up . It is not like that in the never never . I dug 4 holes for a carport a few years ago , 800 deep and 300 round . A crow bar and post hole shovel were used . Wet the ground , let it soak for many hours and use crow bar and dig . About 50 mm if lucky at a time usualy 20 to 25 mm if you were lucky . Temps in the day in 40's . 10 days to do !!! I had a petrol rotary hoe for a while but it was little use , went to a good home .

What are you going to plant ? Will they be pretty or edible or both ?

LD is still sleeping which is good , our TRC mobile cafe is open . Coffee , tea & Chai for S & others who want . Toast & orange marmalade ? Yum ! Porridge or eggs ? Even have bacon today ! ❤❤

Come in for a chat a bite or whatever we have to drink . This morning we are just south of a town that is almost half way from home to Brisbane . A nice change from home to . Being a gypsy soul we enjoy a bit of change from time to time . ❤

Last night we had a eye fillet cooked on the fire and that was delicious . I have been not eating much red meat and had , though a small serve to much , in one serve . Very rich , I will halve the 2 remaining ones when I use them in a couple of days . With the steak was some frozen peas , corn and carrot . A bit of pepper & salt and a sprinkle of cumin on the meat . A very simple but satisfying meal . No leftovers speaks for itself . So much want the lockdowns to be gone and some form of normality to prevail . All of us are losing something from this and yes some more than others , our hearts go out so much to you folk doing it so hard . We are always thinking of you and are wishing hard for us all to have a resolve that returns us to as near normal as possible as quickly as possible .

Last night we were quietly talking and sitting in our chairs under a sky filled with bright moonlight . Discussing things and remembering others . A pleasant evening . LD and L with there respective owners . It was the second of two nights with company of choice for me . T my trans friend had come out for the weekend to visit . She has a Landover set up to camp in .

I had decided rather than visit at home we could camp as home is not a safe place anymore . I have enjoyed the company and as today T will head home I suppose we should to ?

I have woken with a heavy heart at the prospect of going back to M our home town . The sadness and underlying fear is very tangible . Perhaps we might come back here later rather than going home . ?

This very same thing happened on the day I had to leave R after my motel stay post surgery ? I am slow to concede that home town is very toxic for me and any other like people .

This has shown me just how people's thoughts and actions so directly affects the world around them and makes me ask the question : would folk realise how closed minded ( or would they even realise their minds were closed ) attitudes can unconsciously affect the immediate and greater world about them . This is much much bigger than I had realised ? Not just because of affect on me but holistically and globally ???

This will require much journalling !

So in this state of deep thought I shall wish every one of my fellow humans a heartwarming and happy day , filled with the eternal free love that abounds around us in this spectacularly beautiful world we live in . With an extremely special thanks to someone who has and will always ( I do hope )( future will in time reveal I guess ) be there as a guiding light in the night and companion on the journey of life .

I have been wandering, sulking really, when I spotted your lovely sign and those even lovelier milk cows out there.😻I'd go a saucer anytime, from anyone! Hooked on the stuff, you bet.

Being the an omnivorous feline sort of cat, LD better guard the tail.😼.

However, if there is no steak left, or no meat prepared at all, I'll eat those chickpea, veg & cheese fritters, on the pool table, if you don't mind.

The importance of our thoughts being with everyone all the time is becoming clearer to me as these difficult days go forward . Behaviour of some it seems is becoming strange or maybe I just did not notice before ? LD and I are sending much love to everyone 24/7 and we do hope this helps a bit at least ?

LD was in Mr A ( work car / motor home ) yesterday and she got tangled in a hem that was a bit separated on an old towel . Somehow she managed to twist it up and it was so tight around her neck that when I found her she could not draw breath . I grabbed the scissors and carefully but quickly got the scissor blade under the material and cut it off . Both she and I were in shock and she spent the afternoon on my lap and has been cuddled up to me ever since . So close , on top of events of late it shook me deeply to my roots .

Wife and I have lots to plant. Stock is 220 seeds at the moment. Tomatoes, capscium, corn, some natives, yes flowers. We are aiming for vegetables, fruits, flowers and medicines.

Hello david'n'Goliath, petting is permitted, between my ears, under my chin, and I do like a litle massage down my spine.

to day was beautiful and clear, with a strong and chilly wind ruffling my fur.

I spent the day in a sheltered spot under the stairs, bird watching. You know how it goes sometimes, crows and magpies. They are so smart, every fascinating one of them.

In the last few days I have heard the gekkos again, sporadically chirruping, but , before you know it, it will seem like they are everywhere.

Swish swish, my tail is a pendulum, or a periscope! (It's my imagination, so it is what I say it is.)

Garden for me, too? Usually not how things go, but hey, if you are happy to leave room for digging, or a spot of catnip, I won't damage too much.

dng hello ! Like the thought and sound of the food & native plants . Medicine plants are so fascinating to . Will be time to prepare the ground now I imagine ? Am not a gardener , up until covid I was away a lot so things that could survive without me could stay and what couldn't left ? Our wanderings ( work ) could take us away for 3 months or more .

Was waiting on Arnhamland side of Ropper Bar crossing in NT ( 2014 ) for truck to catch up on our way back out to get another machine to bring back in from a job about 110 km into A/land .

An old Aboriginal man came to chat with me and we had a long talk about many things . One was the use ( medicinal ) of the plants and foliage all around us . Amazing stuff , and also amazing was how the indigenous folk out there fit in so comfortably to the environment around them . Really beautiful and gave me a window to look through to their world and a good deal more understanding of it and how it works . A truly symbiotic relationship , and very beautiful one .

D ( telstra low loader driver ) & I ( &LD ) had a few camp sites out there and one was on top of a hill , you could put your hand in the air and it was amongst the stars , WOW moment . Skyreach we called it ❤❤❤

Jo, mmM feeling pampered. Egg make coat shine or itchy? I cannot recall, but they are so gooey, (soft please), still have the taste on my lips hours later.

I was dreaming of all my favourite foods all laid out on a really long window sill. I had to walk from one end to the other eating as I went. & here is, I suspect, not everything on the window sill:
