It would be so great to have a thread here where we can chat about almost anything. We can have fun, tell jokes, share stories, you name it!

There's a "BB Cafe" thread in the general area where lots of people chat daily and have established some nice light hearted conversations, it's treated as if it's a real cafe, there's even virtual baked goods and coffee!

Let's create a chat here for anyone to join, in particular the GLBTIQ community to let their collective hair down and chill out. It's a safe space to be yourself.

LD is in a happy mood and getting the kitchen ready for first orders so come on in . Chai and 3 muffins or coffee or perhaps smokey billy tea done as you wish ? We have porridge but I went to town yesterday and I can now recommend lightly fried in rice bran oil eggs sunny side up with nice runny yokes on a bed of finely grated colby cheese . All on multi grain wholemeal bread or toast . With a sprinkle of pink salt pepper and harisa ❤

DnG , how was yesterday in your life ? Has the spring shown its face at your place yet ? Still playing with us . Nice day then cold day as if its still contemplating .

When we are in the mid 40's soon the cool but nice spring days will be but a memory ?

I remember early one morning not long before first light . Everything dripping wet in the middle of winter . Living on my last boat , a 23 foot trailer sailor that was modified for extended holidays . Was my home . A small cockle with all my worldly goods within , on a living organism . The sea ❤.

Anchored on west side of big island just north of Bris . Needing the tide to get out, was locked in to time to move .

In daylight at this place you can paddle kayak in maybe a metre of water and drift over beautiful weed beds of many colours , with fish looking up at you . Can even talk to the fish , as you would a wild bird . Little rays sunning on the bottom and sea birds for company .

Had to stay in little channel . Get bogged if you get it wrong . Last quarter of rising tide & your pretty safe . Steady and all is wonderful .

The first light to sunrise then day . ❤. Without fail , days beginning and days end on the water are always spectacularly beautiful .❤❤❤

LD opened without me , but because she couldn't reach the light switches it was dark and looked closed ? Apologies , I slept in a bit . Coffee chai and replenished tea canister . Brunch , avocado mashed with black pepper and a hint of chilli powder and tiniest drop of fish sauce. Or whatever else is there ? ❤

A decade ago LD and I rode on BMW K100 from home ( sw qld ) to WA . Was in late March and still hot weather .

Today the weather is a mirror of that day I speak of on the paddock ( Nullabor Plain ) . We had been on the road for perhaps 5 days and came to a spot on the road where the road meets the sea at the head of the Great Australian Bight . We pulled into the parking bay ( unseald ) and parked in a spot that was out of the way of trucks . I got helmet , gloves etc off and LD from the tank bag . We walked about with the fresh ocean smell bathing us as it blew in from the endless ocean before us . Boiled a bit of water for a coffee then sat in the sun on the edge of a gravel pile and looked out towards Antarctica . A very peaceful interlude . LD sleeping in the sun and me traveling through old memories of this stretch of road in big trucks ❤ , memories !

Coffee , tea and Chai for S . Last avo on lightly toasted wholemeal multigrain , or eggs and whatever ? LD is wait person today & my turn to do the kitchen . French doors will be open by 0800 . ❤

Was watching ( catching up ) on my favourite You Tube channel ( Dmytro Antonov ) which is filmed by one of the family who is a senior test pilot and service captain . Have watched the adventures the crew ( anywhere between 7 & 14 ) have been having since middle of last year .

I am involved ( pre Jo anyway ) in heavy haulage and love it and used to live it . Heavy haulage on the ground that is , moving big & often very heavy things about this beautiful country .

Antonov Airlines do this in the sky , globally ! I cant speak Ukrainian but some have subtitles and now I recognise some words . There are of course core members of the crew . It is one big family and even without the meaning of dialog it is so evident .

On the newest post ( movie ) yesterday I had tears of happiness , at 40000 ft one of the crew went back to the quarters and produced a birthday cake with candles & age numbers etc , lit the candles and went forward into the cockpit ( 6 crew ) and they surprised Dmytro . Just awesome and the connection of all was,there to see . D's 57th birthday at 0001 at 40000 feet . ❤❤❤

They were on an AN 124 ( 40 tons bigger than 747/8F) which the airline has 7 of and they have re entered 2 AN 225 Mirya ( only 2 built , bigger than A380 , biggest aircraft in the world ) aircraft to service recently .

Love aircraft and happiness . They do it well . Thanks men of the sky ❤

Jo and LD,

My local sun rises and has risen well so far. Birds sing outside and the chill air is crisp and clear 6.7 c. Wife walks buffy and vinnie whilst I type my taps to those far away in time and space.

The russians make excellent planes, much more robust than others do.

There is a flower out there today that LD and yourself will smell. Someone else planted it for me, to give to you two.

Quiet times , I hope everyone is keeping going in an ok manner . I am not sure if it is external or internal but there is change afoot .

I do hope it is mine and we will work it out and sooner than later . This journey has so many twists and turns up's and downs ? The fluidity is never stopping , a calm would be fine for a while . It is not long after surgery so am in unknown territory at present . Trying desperately to unlearn a life time of reactions to emotions . To be brutally honest its proving tedious and extremely difficult .

At the moment it feels like solitary at distance will be all we ever have , which has worked for decades but it has now a touch of loneliness that only comes if you let your guard down . I would love Jo to not have to be in that remote space like R was for so so long ?

Hormones are driving this I think and fatigue due to sleeping with ears finely tuned as safety is always in question here now ? Even little dog is in the listening mode at all times , hypervigilant ?

Want to be happy and throwing the cosmic love around freely !!! Thats what we do ❤❤❤❤

A cold April night , southeast heading , motoring steadily on Kangaroo Island / Port Fairy leg in 32 footer . Around 0200 a light ssw breeze arrived , made it a bit sloppy and some spray was happening . Got caught in a big current eddy off a headland . Had to hand steer so was on deck . A double reefed main to steady . The wind , COLD . Was in v/good gear and so cold . Woolen gloves with rubber gloves over the top . I put my hand on 1 of main winches & felt body heat going out of me onto the winch . So cold ( Southern Ocean Cold ) . Never been before or after in that cold ?

dng , hi . It is interesting you should mention sewing seeds . I try in my travels to leave happiness & positivity in place of other negative things . Seeds if you will and fate & time then I suspect decide the rest ?

Friday again , Muffin day for S and not quite sure what is in store for us . Camped outside ( about 4 km ) big town 130 east of home . Same place as Wednesday night . Yesterday did a job out of there and in stead of going home came back here as have appointment at 0900 here . Then a bit more easting as meeting a friend in another biggish town & going to camp near there on Saturday night . Staying away from home as it is feeling quite uncomfortable at present after the incident a couple of weeks ago ? Sad but true that !

Hi Jo,

Spring has indeed warmed the house somewhat, though i see we have some cold days forecasted.
