It would be so great to have a thread here where we can chat about almost anything. We can have fun, tell jokes, share stories, you name it!
There's a "BB Cafe" thread in the general area where lots of people chat daily and have established some nice light hearted conversations, it's treated as if it's a real cafe, there's even virtual baked goods and coffee!
Let's create a chat here for anyone to join, in particular the GLBTIQ community to let their collective hair down and chill out. It's a safe space to be yourself.
We just need a name 🙂

0300, clear bright moon hiding the little ones in infinity , winter calm ( a lot of traffic last night , 2or3 an hour ) , 7° , Humidity 30% . Weather from the never never x .
Hello everyone and the best day you can have , stay warm now xxx
Tea chai or coffee ? Egg and soft piece of bacon + spices ? Might shop tomorrow ?
Hello dear Sarah , I nearly had to have a nana nap reading how your day was yesterday ! Read it to LD and she was snoring before I got past parent teacher's interviews ? Lazy little thing she is ? Cute to !
Am very glad your son is where he is and your so loving and supportive . Having a foundation of caring family and friends is everything for young people . xx
I know how much work and how tiring moving is and salute you for taking it in your stride . Well done !
Dont feel to bad about scrabble either . I read with a dictionary by my side now as used to just skip over words I didn't know precisely their meaning . Gives a much wider understanding to content .
What sort of Benz did your dad get ? As you may have guessed I am quite compulsive , it has added to the adventure in life substantially , sometimes in a good way and sometimes not .
Will shop in big town to east ( maybe ) tomorrow when we go a bit more east for covid shot .
The avatar pic was out the side door of Mr A in Bris last month when down there for Transcendents meeting . One of my little bolt holes . The big boat is on pile moorings across river . Maybe 15 mtrs of the bank in foreground is spot where I anchored on and off in last little live aboard boat for quite a few years . Before that I lived on big boat in middle of the corner there for a substantial time on mooring . There is a yacht club there to with showers and toilet to and joined that so we ( LD mk 1 + I ) had that facility. Used to dive and service moorings in that river . Not for the faint hearted that job . Memories both good and ones you'd rather forget ?
Much warmth love and hugs for you all xxxx ❤🐾💃
Love peace friendship and understanding for everyones world xxxx hugs where required to all from the never never , Jo&LD ❤🐾💃👍

4:15pm dark as night and the storm in on its way through Melbourne. The wind is blowing the trees so fiercely and there is the howl of horror movies blasting now and then through the doors..what a night we are in for!
Hey Jo
I love love love a nanna nap, and even if my day's news made you have to rest that is great as it is so wonderful to catch a few moments shut eye during the day if you can, and even more so if you have the cutest of companions to share the nap with (that is you LD) xx
Thank you for saying how loving and supportive I am with my parenting. I try and it is not always easy, you get things wrong and there is no rule book, which is hugely inconvenient. I try to stay calm and manage each situation as it comes though but sometimes it is hard not to get upset and make the wrong call. I think it is how you recover from it too and let them know that you are sorry and that we are human too and make mistakes.
My friend is coming over tonight to help with some packing so I am not sure if that will be helpful or a hinderance but either way we will have a chat and some dinner and have a nice time. The packing might have to wait until tomorrow..lol
I love the idea of reading with a dictionary, there are so many words that I don't know either and find myself sometimes wondering if I am the only one who has no clue about half the words that exist, so I am super happy to hear that you don't either..lol
Umm ok..what sort of Benz did my dad get..one moment while I look at the pic...haha..I am pretty mechanically minded and am actually a fitter by trade but am interested in Holdens and Fords and not so much the European models..ok it is a CLS350..it looks pretty snazzy.
The picture is just stunning and as I said in the other post, I am sure that you get to see so many gorgeous things on your drives around, so very lucky to see our country the way you do and at the early times that you do that provide such amazing photos.
Servicing the moorings sounds interesting and I would like to hear more about what that is as I really don't know. The fact you said it was not for the faint hearted has me intrigued..if you want to share that is.
Ok well off to call it a day and head home to more boxes and the cats trying to climb into each as I am packing..sigh.
Hugs to you on the is freezing wintery night my friend and a big scratch for you LD xxx

0300 , Full bright moon clear with only bright stars , light NNE breeze , 7° , Humidity 32% . Weather from the never never x .
Hello and happiest day you can have for all , warmth and kindness from the never never xxx .
Chai tea or coffee , soft egg and spices . LD disappeared again ? Nesting on the end of the bed ?There is a white ear sticking out of soft sleeping bag on the foot of the bed ?
Hello Sarah , do hope storms were not destructive . Love is the essential ingredient in parenting and you have a great deal of that . As you say the rest is trial and error and not set in stone xx .
Will look at that Benz on Mr Google later . How did packing go ? Pretty easy to get side tracked on that job , rediscovering things forgotten . Fun though .
The diving in Brisbane river was definitely not for the faint hearted . Can only work at slack water and the last and first bit of tide either side of that . Normal visibility is 1 to 1.5 mtrs . I am claustrophobic so it was always a test for me in self control . On 2 occasions I got tangled on the bottom but worked it out by feel ( thankfully ). I used a 12 volt electric hooker . A friend ( QANTAS jumbo driver ) brought them to Aus and we redeveloped them . Very handy bit of gear . Actual dive time normally around 10 to 15 min for a mooring . Would renew shackles , swivel and sometimes entire chain . All in pitch darkness . Had torch for final inspection . Jelly fish and the occasional bump from something big ( always thought of bull sharks then ) were crappy .
Got a dive course in WA early 70's before they had oh&s quals . Was a C Class ticket , basic commercial . The whole point of training was to get to a place where instinctively you never ever panic . Panic=curtains in that world .
The man who taught us was a beautiful man . He was a Z Force commando in WW 2 . He later on taught those guys the diving part of what they did . Read a book of his life , amazing tragic and horrific come to mind . A soft gentle man whom you automatically respect . Will try to get book name . You may or may not want to read it . Was horrifying when they were implanted in Borneo . Only after his passing did I read the book . WOW , am so glad our paths crossed and had friendship and guidance . One of many heroes that fought for life we have today .
Lol and hugs to you Sarah and yours my dear , happy hump day x xxx ❤🐾💃
Light NNE breeze carrying love peace acceptance and understanding xxx to touch everyone . xxx lol Jo&LD ❤🐾💃

0734, Clear winter sun , calm , 11° , Humidity 37% . Weather from the never never x .
Good morning again everyone and happy day for all . xxx
Chai coffee and tea , porridge today with a chook slow cooking in oven with some chat potatoes to scent the air .
Hi Eight , nice to have a visit again from you. How is your world going ? Didn't know eclipse last night ( or early this morning ) . Could have viewed it here , clear all night . Your dog early to bed , I trust dogs intuition . Have a quite sore shoulder from covid injection late morning yesterday . Been awake most of the night with headache and very achy joints . ( rarely get headaches , got one 3 weeks ago when had ordinary flu needle to ?).
Hi Sarah , not much news really today . As you can see late start . Been uncomfortable all night . Maybe hour and a half sleep ? Glad I knocked back a long distance job for today as reaction to vaccination has happened and was not sure how big or small it would be . About medium at moment . Going to go outside later ( maybe?) and muck about under Mr A's bonnet .
How was your day yesterday Sarah and did you all survive the storms 2 nights ago ? When I talk to my radio club friend next I will try to remember to get name of book ? That chicken smells good . Will be able to put the meat on tongue and it will almost melt in your mouth by late afternoon . mmmmmm .
Muffin 🍩 day for you tomorrow to . I feel like one now ( feeling a bit sorry for myself I think ). Should know on Friday if we are going to be able to work with under 25's ( we want to do over 25's working in conjunction with existing agency doing the under 25's ) in big town to the east . That is sounding exciting to me . After what I have experienced here with isolation and very sparse support ( I have done well but it has involved many kilometers and not everyone can do that ) all of it exemplary and so very kind and affirming however . I think you could call this a passion of mine now .
Lol to you and yours very dear friend . Eternal hugs xxxx us 👍❤🐾💃
🍦I want ice cream ! xxxx
As always peace kindness and love from the never never , Jo&LD 🐾💃❤

Hello my friend
I tried a few time to reply yesterday and kept getting side tracked...the storm was fantastic, lightening making the skies look fierce but electric and then the rain came. I love a storm, when it doesn't cause damage that is, but I love the thunder, the rumble, the unexpected clap then the vibration through the ground...I just love the whole theatrics of it. But yes, I am safe and no damage done.
I am sorry to hear that you had a bit of a reaction to the vaccine. My dad was a bit the same in that he had aches and a sore arm, a feeling a bit off but he is feeling ok now, I hope that you are feeling a better soon and that the headaches pass. I had my flu shot the other day and I am one of the lucky ones who has no side effects or any reactions so that is great.
I hope you got some ice cream...what is your go to flavour? I love a great Rum N Raisin and I also love a good licorice one..like the old school one where it is grey and just is sooo yum. Also love a fudgey chocolate...ok I feel like I am essentially going to list all the flavours here...lol.
I am still thinking about having to go into that Brisbane river to do all those underwater tasks...I agree...hideous! I too get a little claustrophobic so the thought of being trapped or having your leg caught gave me goosebumps. The things we do in life hey!
Well we patiently wait here in Melbourne to find out if we are going to be going into any sort of lockdown. I am feeling really sad as I have an event that I am soo looking forward to going to next weekend in Sydney. I will be so devastated if I am not able to go. I have a new dress and shoes and am all ready to go...I have put it out to the universe to take care of me so hopefully she hears me.
I also have a girls weekend planned next month so hope that is not impacted either....sigh!
Have a wonderful day and scratches to you LD xxx
Chat again tomorrow my dear friend.
Oh...before I go..how has the shopping been going? ..and the makeup...any new purchases?
Hugs
Sarah xxxx

1300 ,
Hi Sarah , the storm sounded quite acceptable . Glad you enjoyed it . Have been caught in some very severe ones in the summer though and been to scared to stop , just pray and drive . Do what you have to . Electrical storms are so very spectacular .
Choc dipped spearmint and chocolate is my dream , but honestly they don't make ice cream I don't like .
Its been really noisy here and I had to vacate my room ( front of house ) as they have torn up a perfectly good surface to resurface it . Quiet now at last , lunch or maybe finished . Not enjoying the side effects , hope gone tomorrow ?
Looks like your lockdown is back . Felt sad for you there . Hopefully a short one .
Haven't made much headway with make up . Have some bits and pieces now . Was going to look in op shop yesterday but was feeling covid vaccine by then so came home .
Hugs back , Jo&LD 👍🐾💃

0600 , Clear with bright moon , Calm , -2° , Humidity 30% . Weather from the never never x .
Best day achievable for everyone , stay warm and dry . Some hugely amazing weather in Southern Ocean at present . ( a negative SAM at present ( Google that )). xxx
Tea chai or coffee . sausages eggs and bacon ? Porridge ? Whatever ? All welcome . LD is out of action , been a bit crook through the night .
Hi Sarah ," Blood on Borneo " is book title and author is " Jack Wong Sue " . I first met him in early 70's and last spoke with him in late 80's and had no knowledge of his life back in the Z Force days ? If you google book it is on there for sale under $30 . It is for me a great demonstration of living in the present ! ie: living for who you are in the now and not who or what you were in the past ? Logic I guess but sometimes logic does not work perhaps ? About things flowing to . There were several other dive business available to us ( my mate Dave and I . We met in the Pilbara and had many adventures on motor bikes and diving in Dampier archipelago while working for big mining company ). All the others would take you to 100 feet ( depth). When we went to Jacks dive shop he said would only take us to 50 ft . After listening to him we both thought this guy knows a lot and it all makes great sense and it did and still does . Without his training I probably would have expired on the bottom of the Brisbane river . The whole thing in alien environments is not to panic and work it out , gives you the best chance , this can be applied to many circumstances in life . Alien environments are more common in day to day to than one might think.
Ahr Friday , 🍩 muffins , yum ! I am so very jealous . When is moving day . My muscles will ache that day . Do you think girls outing will happen . So sorry for you with lockdown to . Do you go in or have to stay home and miss the muffin 👎.
Happiest safe warm day my friend , lol to you all from us ❤🍩🐾💃xx hugs of course if needed .
Soft radiant light full of love and tranquility for everyone from the never never , lol Jo&LD ❤🐾💃

Hello my friends and hope you are feeling well this morning LD, I am so sad to hear that you were not 100% yesterday...a big hug from me xx
Today is muffin day and I literally just ate the last bite as we type, my chai is here in front of me and there are 5 of us in the office...as opposed to the usual 80 when we are not in lockdown..sigh. I am just grateful my job is not impacted like so many other's have been, I feel very fortunate for that.
I have taken down the name and author of the book and will absolutely have a look as it sounds just right up my alley with what I like to read..will keep you across my progress there!
Something you are about to know is that my dad is a meterologist..so terms like "negative SAM" actually mean something to me..hahaha...we grew up with knowing all the names of the different cloud types and what exactly goes on up there in the atmosphere...so the Southern Annular Mode is something I have heard of. Another thing I have not seen but my father shared lots about is the Northern lights...he has been to Antarctica so many times and his stories and recollections of things that happened there are extraordinary. I hope to be able to go one day as a Station Leader..but will wait until my kids are a little older. My dad was also apart of the huskies leaving Mawson in 1992, they made a movie about it called "The last Husky". I remember this time in my life so well and have only just realized that my dad was my age now when he did this trip! He was awarded the Order of Antarctic Medal in 1987.
Moving day will be the 11th of June so not long but long enough that I still have time to get the rest of my stuff packed without stress..although I am sure there will be some stress on the day...ah well! I have been able to get some boxes from work so I get a few and pack a few so it is not too overwhelming and yes...I am finding lots of things and it is kinda cool to have memories reignited.
It is very quiet here today so I will take your hugs with joy and in abundance as it is kind of lonely, but...I have the people of this community to keep me company xx
Best of days to you and hope that LD is feeling back to her old self soon xx
Hugs as always right back to you both
Sarah xxxx
