It would be so great to have a thread here where we can chat about almost anything. We can have fun, tell jokes, share stories, you name it!

There's a "BB Cafe" thread in the general area where lots of people chat daily and have established some nice light hearted conversations, it's treated as if it's a real cafe, there's even virtual baked goods and coffee!

Let's create a chat here for anyone to join, in particular the GLBTIQ community to let their collective hair down and chill out. It's a safe space to be yourself.

Hello hello my dear friend

As you can probably guess this week has been super busy, and it is only Tuesday..so what has happened? I have found a new house to rent and been accepted, I have given notice on my current place, I have taken some pics of some furniture I wanted to get rid of, sold a few pieces.( I am puffed just from typing)...my daughter has had football photo night, it was my nieces birthday...and after all that I have been neglecting my favorite place..here.

I am so happy to hear that the cooler weather means warmer bedding and indeed a longer sleep in, that is just the best and also that LD is right there to reap the benefits of extra warm snuggles.

It has been a few days since the writing you have done, how have you felt after putting all the emotion onto the page? Any new moments of realization that you would like to share? It is actually quite strange as for the first time ever I have been thinking about opening up some of my writing when my brother passed, along with his letter and also the coroner's report, all very hard things to read but I feel like there is something telling me to go revisit it. I am not sure if it that my "eyes" have changed and maybe there are new perspectives to see and some acceptance to have in that space..I don't know but I might take some time when my kids leave to go to their dads to open it back up for the first time in almost 2 years and see what is in there.

Sorry to hear that your funding has stopped for now, that is really hard. I am not sure why when people do find their groove with therapy and a therapist should it all have to end. I mean I get it, there are so many people that need help but surely we cannot dismiss the ones receiving it, especially when it is working. Mostly though I am assuming that from PL taking photos that Jo was in full presence and was stunning at her appointment, I really hope so and am so very proud if this is the case, how wonderful, I can only imagine what PL thought too..how exciting.

My cats are usually laying all over me the moment I hit the couch...they are so demanding..lol..but adorable non the less so it is very hard to kick them off..Aimee in particular is a space invader and likes to be right up in my face with makes watching anything hard. It is also a race to see who gets what spot, the calves, the thighs or on my chest...lol

The days are getting really cool. Winter is on the way.

Hello dearest Sarah , new home is so exciting . Do hope it ticks all boxes plus a few more you'd forgotten xxx . Busy is good , as long as you get quiet time with the cats . How did footy pictures turn out ? Just had a vision of the cats on the couch , with numbers on them .

Long ago a lady off a property here was at a gathering in town and she has four kids all one after the other . She was physed teacher before marrying . No one could remember all names of kids when necessary . I started a commentary like a race caller , no1 is on the move 3&2 are stopped and playing etc . Probably had to be there , was a very humorous afternoon . A lot of laughter .

Very dear Sarah , I dont know what to say about the reading you talk off . Am always in and out of this and a couple of other threads every day to check if answers are needed or I want to contribute . You are so very perceptive and aware and know what is good or needed for you . Am here and care deeply ! Forever hugs beautiful human ( any time when wanted or required ) xxxx

Our Monday sorty to PL was as usual a hoot . Jo experimented trying to get elegant . Not quite sure if we got it but as PL said looking at the pics , " its the bright light in your eyes just does it " . Regarding elegant I need to upgrade wardrobe a lot ( achievable ) and learn make up in stealth ( tiniest bits to enhance the spirit within ) . PL and I were talking about our history and she said " I was very worried about you in the middle of last year " as was I and look where we are now ? The flow is astonishing !?!

Was given a book yesterday at my front door that is a full course main text book for a counciling course . Got into it last night .

Going to big town east to get a few things today . Might take Sooz ( motorcycle ) as she has been idle lately and needs a gallop . So do I . Will see later on with that one ?

Hello hello my friends from the never never

ohh LD, you in an apron...adorable..is there a chef's hat too..lol

A new home it totally exciting however comes will all the other stuff too, packing, purging and throwing stuff out, the moving day, but yes, all in all I am super excited. I hope it ticks all the boxes too, I just made the purchase of a new dining table and chairs..any excuse really.

I love the idea of having a number allocated to each child, let's be honest, they rarely come when called so a number would not really make a difference to yelling out a name..lol I was laughing to and imagining the commentary of them playing and calling it like a race, hilarious.

When I was talking about the writing I was meaning the journaling and the personal writing that we have both done in the past. Mostly that we said we leave it on the pages and don't really choose to revisit it. I was just thinking suddenly that I might like to revisit what I had written over the first few weeks and months after my brother passed. I am not really sure why suddenly I am ready to revisit this space and think it maybe time to see it with new eyes or to see how much road I have covered. Not sure really but I am hopeful the answers will come when I open the book and start reading. I will wait until I am alone though as I am not sure how I will respond to it.

I love that PL noticed that your face was alight with the presence of Jo and that you obviously were glowing with what you were wearing and how Jo looked on the day. That is such a beautiful thing she said to you and I am sure JO was indeed very elegant. A wardrobe upgrade sounds so much fun and like a great day out. Do you like going clothes shopping. Friends of mine are very divided with this, some shop and love it and some shop when they need to and race in and out after making quick purchases. That was also such wonderful wonderful feedback and such a credit to your resilience and your character at how far and how well you have navigated this journey, that she was worried about you and is almost telling you she is delighted and not concerned at all, how awesome is that.

Have had a great day today as there is cake in the office which always makes us happy, today was carrot cake with the creamiest frosting..so naughty but totally delish!

Hope today has been wonderful for you, we saw the sun this afternoon so that was gorgeous after a few cool and cloudy days.

Hello Sarah , house sounds exciting and your mind is set now that you have bought furniture . Hope your warm and sleeping while I type this at a not totally stupid hour ( better than 0130 etc ). 1, 2 and 3 will be curled up to in a warm spot . Animals are such good company . I have no words regarding your reading but so many feelings . Much love with you there ( hugs and cuddle when and if needed ) .

Must of had high expectations about elegant ? Didn't quite get to where I wanted . ( little steps , got to remember that ). Still was good and so so far from where we started . Am warmly pleased .

Used to love op shopping with wife 3 ( given them numbers , ha ha ) and had excuse to play in the ladies section . She was into fashion and retro . We used to have a hoot . A really alive person , bit of a tear then ? Miss her company but we couldn't live together . Both gypsy's I've always thought . Now have to get over self consciousness of playing in the girls corner ( uncondition all those assigned gender thinking patterns ).

Going to town at midday to catch up with my allie . Will go on Sooz as she missed out yesterday because LD chucked a spacky about being left at home again . We went to big town 130 east for 3 things . I bought a bag of lollies for lolly jar. You guessed it , didn't make it home . ( hopeless ). Normally dont buy them for that reason ?

Naughty girl LD..lol..chucking a wobbly..I am secretly laughing though as she is far too cute to stay mad at. She loves you and just wants to be with you which is just a delight.

I can say this with all honestly that I don't really notice who is shopping when I am looking for clothes, that I am in my own little world just browsing the racks and what is there and thinking about what is in front of me. I could not tell you if there are other women, if there were men or in fact if there were camels there..lol..my point is that I can understand that you feel some sense of caution or discomfort when being in the women's section, that you may feel eyes on you or people wondering, but can I suggest to you that even at worst if they did look at you they may think you were shopping for your partner, if they did think about it at all. I wonder if you notice who is shopping near you when you are in the men's section, and I know this is a little different as one does assume (here is the gender bias here) that she would be shopping for her partner, but you would not think it was for her. My dear friend has a cis daughter and is now choosing to identify as a male. We refer to him and he or they and he shops in the male section. He is 13 so also is clouded with feelings of caution but I think it is slowly getting better. I think I have rambled here but my point is that you shop where you want to shop, you browse where you want to browse and you have just as much right to be there as any one else so you do not let anyone intimidate you or make you feel bad.

I am so glad you enjoyed your lollies, yum..a little bit of joy and happiness in a bag..go you!

I am off to parent teacher interviews tonight so a bag of lollies might be just what I need too, or a donut..or a wine...lol.

The days are getting darker much earlier and even sitting here at 4.15pm the sky is looking like night. I love going home and getting into some warm PJ's and yes, being covered in cats...lol

LD still striking , left her at home alone yesterday for a couple of hours . Quick trip to close town for coffee with my alli ( spelling ? Will check dictionary later ).( was no time for shops had tele consult to be home for ) .

Hi Sarah , you are cabs correct about eyes on you . My trans friend in town where gender clinic and I have had this convention a few times now . It is about that realisation and getting confidence . Getting there slowly . You are right that most wont even notice let alone think anything . Had a checkout girl in big supermarket make a negative quip the other day . Didn't pick up on it till had left and was walking out of center . Not hurtful but just a reminder it is there . Felt a sadness then , I am just another spirit on a journey as is everyone else and mine is a bit different and I am celebrating mine ( not in your face way but in happiness way ) and it shows .

How was teacher parent interviews ? If that was my folks there when I was young they wouldn't have been able to find me when they got home , would of been hiding up a gum tree like a koala !

Don't remember most of child hood but it did give me the tenacious stubborn bit that has got me through to 9/12/2020 and for that I will be forever grateful . ( only just made it , but did ! ). Enough of that .

Good chat in town yesterday and things are moving forward on getting something happening out here for the community . Not sure what it will look like yet but feels good and quite exciting . Had a telephone session with the lady who runs Transcendents in Bris yesterday . A lot of ideas there to , interesting space as is out here to . I get a bit tired in evenings but understandable the hours I keep . Have amazing amount of energy though for this community stuff . Looking forward with that .

Not on trike today , rugged up in front of big bar heater , sitting in lounge chair . LD beside me in chair with head on my thigh . She is so very cute .

Broken sleep last night and aching body from contortions yesterday building new light section power supply and distribution for little car . Have to do it in situ so lots of bending and twisting in small confined places . " It Works though !!! " . Day not wasted . David is his name ( little car , Taffy's and my favourite in many ways ) he is a " 1990 Suzuki Super Carry " last of that model . Named him David after " Dr David Suzuki " the Japanese environmental scientist . Look up Dr Suzuki on Wikipedia and the super carry to if you want . Dr Suzuki is one of my heroes . A very practical man with great foresight .

Hope your warm and cozy with 1,2&3 while I write this Sarah . Yesterday was very insular one here , stayed inside fence all day . How was your Friday dear friend , did he have the muffins yesterday ? Hello Sarah , is your weekend going well ? Busy or restful , or a combination of those . Hope warm and happy . Scratch and pat from LD to 1,2&3 xx . She just said I earned a bite for volunteering her pats ? Grumpy little cupcake she is ! ( not really , very cute and loving creature ) .

Spent half of yesterday doing electrical job on big car and it didn't work ? Had to go back to Dr Google and it now is just how it was originally meant to be and works . Electronic override for battery isolation unit , so if start battery dies can press button and should start from house batteries ( which have solar power .) ( theoretically should not get stuck any where with no start due to battery failure ?). ( must remember " never say never " though !).

The rest of the day was out side on a chair reading psychology book ( councillors text book ). Was o/s waiting for a coach to pass . My friends on big boat eldest daughter is on a school trip and stayed in big town 130 west ( goes past my house but missed them as timetable was quite loose ) . They were going to planetarium to look at the cosmos last night and on to an out door bilby sanctuary then bed I imagine . Off again this morning not sure of itinerary after big town 130 west ? This town ( 130 west ) is my favorite town in Australia . Have been trying to get to live there forever .

When doing Telstra work we used it for a base and spent a lot of time there , and fell totally in love with the place . A beautiful window to the past it is . ( maybe I am old ?).

Same same here , have covid shot booked for Wednesday at little hospital clinic 180 east of here . ( only rainbow friendly one out here ). 360 round trip to go to doctor now . Our weekend was unremarkable like the sky today . LD is good again and curled up on the end of bed in bedroom . Can see each other though . Only small workers cottage . We had a job on Wed this week but doing covid thing that day so K was going to contact the owner to see if it would be ok to move it forward to Tues . Haven't had a call on that so will ring K later today . Just moving a D10 but will be maybe a half day job ?

I would like to report on what I had for brekky but cannot as I have not even eaten today as yet!!! The day has run away with me and I have been so incredibly busy..I will be having the best dinner tonight tho to make up for it. I did make some pancakes yesterday for brekky as my son had his mates stay over so thought I needed to feed teenage boys something substantial to eat..and who doesn't love pancakes?

Today I have been getting all my ducks lined up to get the move on track, there are so many things to think of ..sigh..but I am super excited to be moving. How are you feeling about your place and the possibility of making a fresh start and some more friendly neighbours, I am just hoping that I am moving towards better and not worse!!!!

It is wonderful to hear that LD is back and true to her lovely self, it really makes me smile when she is up to her little tricks of cracking it. So much attitude from someone so little..I love it!

...but mostly WOW..your new profile picture is just stunning. I am sure there is a whole magnificent story behind it and I can't wait to hear it. The things you see and the adventures you have had are so entertaining.

Parent teacher interviews went well and I was very happy to hear the words "effort" and "trying", which is what I want my kids to do. Trying is far more important to me that the grades so I am only really interested in if they are engaging, contributing and not distracting and ultimately doing the best that they can. I was really pleased to hear that this is the case. I think that my son has found his groove now with doing Tafe and working one day doing what is now called VCAL, which is essentially a trade based learning program.

I am off to have dinner tonight with my dad who has bought himself a fancy new Merc. I will be interested to hear the story behind this..he is such a spontaneous person and that goes with mostly everything in his life, so who knows what he is up to...lol

We will also have the obligatory game of scrabble as my granny loves it to bits, I really don't mind but it does remind me of my limited vocabulary mostly...lol

Huge hugs to you and hope you are both doing so very well and that you have managed to get to the shops to fill up the pantry and the fridge...every good intention to I am sure...lol
