It would be so great to have a thread here where we can chat about almost anything. We can have fun, tell jokes, share stories, you name it!

There's a "BB Cafe" thread in the general area where lots of people chat daily and have established some nice light hearted conversations, it's treated as if it's a real cafe, there's even virtual baked goods and coffee!

Let's create a chat here for anyone to join, in particular the GLBTIQ community to let their collective hair down and chill out. It's a safe space to be yourself.

We just need a name 🙂

Looks like a huge pool of cold air in a big high centred very low down under WA . It is already effecting us , 8° lower than yesterday at this time . 1° on Monday here . Might get our first frost ?

Had a good chat with lady who runs the group meetings in Bris that I went to ( and will continue to go to when can get there , or zoom ) and there is something planned down there that I might be able to be involved in . Would be wonderful if that happened ? Also discussed councillor courses . Quite expensive if I stay out here as only would use a very small part of what is required to complete those courses . She thinks I could do something using hex scheme . That would be good if could happen that way !

We have our last psychology appointment ( they are working on more but think we have exhausted funding ) next Tuesday . Have been planning to do full Jo&LD ! Would be first time ( publicly ) . Think psychologist would be quite thrilled , I know Jo will be .

Been agonising over safety here and thinking maybe just over thinking ? Talking to the councillor in Bris yesterday and she doesn't think so , they are trying to find a viable way out of here ( as am I all the time ) for me . Just dont want to be pushed out of my little place where I own everything by these people who dont belong here ? The revival of the timber mill has been a disaster for myself and a couple of others who surround these mill workers . The man who revived the mill is of very. very dubious character and further fragmented the town and its inhabitants . I love inside my fence right on the highway . My parking bay I call it . Friends can pull up outside with a triple roadtrain and visit !

Yesterday was a complete nothing day , feels like today might end up the same way ? Wrote in the book most of the day ? Was a big dose of isolation and think is still going ?

Off to get exhaust done as soon as sun is up and the grasshoppers ( kangaroos ) have settled .

Thank you sooo much Jo for the lovely sentiment about the dress and Mother's Day, it really did feel like she picked it for me when you said those words..thank you.

I cannot believe you grew up on the foothills of the Dandenongs...that is where I live..like our paths were just meant to cross. As you know it is super cold in winter and the cooler days are coming, today was a taste of that for us in Melbourne..brrr

Has Jo and LD been into town yet? I cannot wait to hear how it all goes. I sometimes chat to my kids about things that I as a child was not aware of, things like being Trans, and ask them how they would feel if a member of their friendship group arrived out one night in a dress? That if they chose to live as the other gender to that in which they were born. They are so unphazed by it, they think I am the weird one for even asking that. It really does show how far we have come in the youth of today and what life looks like for them V's people of our generation and older where this was not the everyday. I suspect that as you say, the folk in your town are a long way behind the rest of the world, but in saying that, they may not even notice.

I hope you enjoyed your KFC. I was so jealous reading that that I went and bought some myself..popcorn chicken...yum!

I love that you have bought yourself some makeup brushes. I am so in love with my eye shadow palettes and have a favorite. Once you start "collecting" I bet you will be like me too and just become in love with them. So my favorite is MORPHE. Sure, they are a little on the expensive side but the colours and the quality and the look is so..well I just love them. They have just released a new line with "Coca Cola" branded things..so fun...have a look at the website..sorry in advance..hahahaha

I am just re reading that part of LD running through the house with her dolly, omg she melts my heart.

I have not been roller skating again, too many other things on the boil..off to the movies tonight with friends and some shopping tomorrow with my son..I have to make time for it as I just loved it.

Tuesday is on the horizon for your last appointment, I can't wait to hear if Jo goes alone...wow..how awesome xxx

I hope you can come to some peace with your housing too, it is your home and you need to feel safe and comfortable there, you know this..but at the end of the day.you can make any four walls a home.

Hi Sarah , what movie last night and was it good , funny , sad serious or exciting ? Kids of today are amazing , so much more aware than the unconnected Victorian up bringing of the 50's and early 60's like mine . I know mine was very different to most and have little memory of it so it is hard to form a generalized opinion of those times . Still I am glad kids today are so much more enlightened . You are a good loving parent and thats what all kids need xxxx .

I remember the cold mornings as a child . I often used to get into trouble for this . Primary school days , on way to school I would get out of sight of home and stop and put sox and sheos in school bag . Rum all the way over frozen ground to school and thaw and dry my feet at school . This would mean a few cuts ( cross country stuff ) but I had dry shoes and sox . All the other kids had soggy ones and cold feet all day ( Hate that ).

( lights on the hill , by slim dusty playing on ABC Country on tv . Have it on tape . A great album . If you ever get the chance of a copy of that album grab it . It is a window into Australian trucking in the early days when it was a challenging and rewarding lifestyle . A well worn tape is mine )( I am a blues fan today and anything else I like to , really! ).

Psyche appointment has been moved to 1530 on Monday at a new venue . It might be the last one , Psyche lady ( will call her PL ) was trying to wangle another lot but don't know how that went . Not sure about being full Jo visually but it looks ok in mirror . If I can capture elegant I will be happy . PL is such a lovely human , calls me her self repairing client , ha ha 😂 . Having eye make-up tuition at 0800 today . Am a minimalist though and my shape ( have hips and small bust ) and clothes will do the work ! )

Chai for you Sarah , LD and I are still in bed . She is snoring right now . She cuddles up under the quilt with me when it gets cold enough . Guess it is that now . She came out half an hour ago and promptly did u turn and back under with me .

Winter , or more importantly the cold makes me not as happy as warmer weather ? Grey days and I don't get along very well . Have to work hard to stay on top of that sometimes . Jo's first winter , could be interesting ?

Sarah have you been doing things this weekend or been quieter and staying warm with the cats by your side ?

Was just remembering a friend from my childhood . I think he was my only real friend in those years . Lost touch when I ran away .

Still having this isolation attack I think . Perhaps we should move to a more friendly populated place . Can't wait for the days to start getting longer again .

Hello Sarah , hope it is not icy at your place this morning . Cats will have their warm spots sorted by now I imagine . How was the weekend ?

Sunny here but cold air . Winter mode now . My bedroom at the front of house has r/c air con in window so in summer is cool room and winter warm room . Have 2 heavy curtains that come from either side of door and they work well to keep it cool or hot and pigle can go in or out without upsetting the status quo .

Slept in till late for us yesterday as a trial to see if we could . Didn't work to well so we are stuck with this getting up after REM sleep . Spent the day writing mostly . Got a fair bit in the book , will review it later . Have been asking questions and writing / debating them on paper . You have given me some useful tools to Sarah for which I am grateful .

Been thinking about moving to a safer place ? I still want to see if it will be possible to set up some formal sort of contact point for up to date accurate information for diverse people . Now that Head Space will be coming out here they would look out for under 25" s so I can work for older folk . Not sure how many there are but judging by Transcendents group there are quite a few .

Feeling much better right now getting up at completelystupid"o"clock seems to work . Can have a little sleep today if needed . Got psych appt at 1530 and have christened the iron and board so we will be elegant and neat . New venue today ( same PL ) so hope LD can come into this one ? She always came in at other place .

Warm calm happy Tuesday for you Sarah . How have your days been ? Busy I'm guessing? Such a contrast to here . Have to space things out some times and now have been filling the gaps with writing . Has your winter cut in as it has here ?

One more quick trim and no more mowing till September if it stays in winter mode here . -3.2° yesterday .

Put the woollen quilt on the bed yesterday . What a good block of sleep LD and I had . Didn't wake till 0300 . Fell asleep before 2000 and turned light off at 2200 when woke with tv still whispering ? Got that quilt a couple of years ago and it was to warm last winter for it . Wasn't cheap and is heavier than feather one but toasty warm . 550 gram to something is how they are rated and is middle of the road tempwise .

Went yesterday to big town to the east and had appointment with PL . Unfortunately we have run out of funding for this financial year ? They assured me it will be back in July . I really hope so as it is fantastic medicine for the isolation . Went very well and many laughs happened . I got PL to take some pictures ( 2 ) on my phone , do wish could share these . Small steps as friend in big town where gender clinic is tells me .

Started and finished early so got home just after sunset . Was thinking of staying at roadhouse in big town . There is an Indian ( presume ) guy who works in roadhouse there who loves my energy and says he wants to have that when my age . He asked me the secret ages ago , just said am a different kind of human. I see it to but think it may be because am free of all that struggle of the past ? True self ?

LD is on chair sleeping , has a knitted jumper on and the big bar heater is pointing in her direction . Knocked back a job working out of big coastal town yesterday . Wouldn't fit in with appointments and dont want to do work on that project . ( Indian environmental vandal company ). Would be with good friend who doesn't know of Jo plus the nasty person from 2019 trip is there ?
