It would be so great to have a thread here where we can chat about almost anything. We can have fun, tell jokes, share stories, you name it!
There's a "BB Cafe" thread in the general area where lots of people chat daily and have established some nice light hearted conversations, it's treated as if it's a real cafe, there's even virtual baked goods and coffee!
Let's create a chat here for anyone to join, in particular the GLBTIQ community to let their collective hair down and chill out. It's a safe space to be yourself.
We just need a name π

HI everyone
I have invited a few people to this cafe. Hopefully they come and pop in and join us.
Sometimes I remember a girl I met on tinder. We hit it off and became good friends. I would have considered a relationship with her but had to move away from Sydney after uni, as my lease was gonna end (student accommodation) and as I hadn't worked for 6 months due to doing full time placement I couldn't afford to stay in Sydney post uni. Sometimes I wonder what if I stayed in Sydney? Would it have become a relationship or not? Would we have both come out afterward? I had only told one person at that stage and my parents didn't know. I do wonder if she was the partner that got away.

oh MP sounds like a dangerous thought. Not a place I usually let my mind go to but yes, I can relate.
I guess it's academic because at the time you met you weren't ready and able to do differently than what you did - or else you would have done. And now that you may be ready, you're not together in the same place. So that's it really. What might have been wasn't to be. Is that a negative way of looking at life? I hope not.
I tell my twins that the future is where their hope is, not the past. And try to remember it myself, which is much harder.

Yeah I know it's not a good road to look down. I already am halfway down another highway. I seem to do that a lot. What if I chose a different course, or I didn't do this etc. I wonder if my anxiety makes me think these things on repeat.
what is everyone up to this weekend

Sending my love your way too MsP :-)
It's ok when you say "What if?" about the future, but the past doesn't exist anymore. It took me so long to realise that ruminating about lost love and the like was toxic.
My past was in my mind; living there made me really sick, but especially the "What if's" Today I'm where I should be, grateful for still being here, having the courage/conviction to continue, helping others and being supported as well. 'Living' our life today creates tomorrow. Decisions and choices are opportunities, not weights around our necks.
My weekend was eventful...different. I hope yours was a treat.

Dearest Danny;
Beautiful words my sweet man. It's dealing with adversity that brings out our positive qualities in abundance...together we stand.
I had chills reading your words; your heart's been broken too many times, so please don't allow my bubble to burst yours. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger ok.
OMG...so many proverbial sentiments. But hey, if it works...work it!
Sigh...a cuppa java with each other; would-n't it be love-e-ly? :-) Singing with hope...
