The Blue Room: Chill Out space

Hi everyone,

In our last member survey, there were a few suggestions for us to create a space called the Blue Room, a chill out space for sharing calming videos and sounds. So here it is!

Our forum software can't embed videos automatically yet, so if you'd like to contribute a video, just post in here with the link from Youtube and one of the mods or myself will be able to convert it for you. Also let us know why you've chosen the video and a bit about it, so people know why you find it calming.

I'll start off... with, of course, a cat video. Where would the internet be without them? This is Catcerto. The story started with Nora, a little cat who likes getting up and having a bit of a noodle at the piano. Her owner filmed it, and then someone went to the trouble of composing a whole orchestral piece around it and syncing it up with Nora's video for a live performance. Joy, cuteness, and human ingenuity. That's why I love it.

Please share your video links below.

Below is my favourite clip. But this man has many on YouTube

His real name is Prem Rawat and he also is known as Maharaji.

He has words of inspiration, clarity and relaxation. He asks listeners "have you ever seen a sunset, everyone days yes...but he says, a sunset lasts for two hours..." How many of you have seen a sun set"?

For me this clip allows my emotions to be elevated in a soothing way.

When Maharaji was 9yo he attended a funeral in his Indian village, climbed a wall to address his grieving townsfolk to instruct them to rejoice in the elders life. By 13yo he was on TV

Maharaji, a wise man.

This is the first song I ever heard. My grandmother sang it to me on the day that I was born and then again each time life upset my childhood.

Loved those Geoff.

Here us another Maharaji Prem Rawat clip. Some if you will appreciate his vision to help us along in life

What about John Farnham's 'Touch of Paradise'. Beautiful, peaceful song.

Just heard another beautiful song this morning. Rod Stewart's 'Sailing'. He talks about going from stormy waters, to home where he finds love and peace. That about sums up what we are trying to achieve for each other and others writing in.
