The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.

The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.

Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ... 

So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...

I was very happy to not have more rain yesterday, after the mid-morning little storm, & none today (so far - but it's looking pretty good outside so I'm hopeful.)

Hello everyone,

Well here I am loaded up with sparklers for everyone as we trundle along in Grandy's train. Don't worry about not remembering the words to the songs, every carriage has a screen with the words in big font.  

I have also brought along yummies for everyone's furry or feathered friends that are specially made to not upset any tummies. I'm sure they will all play nicely together & we even have a zoomies only area for those who want to let their fur down.

I am looking forward to having some of Fiatlux's cheesecake... yum!!

LB and SG are both tired after running zoomies wth LRC, so good to see all the cats getting along.

Here you go, Patches, some fluffy pillows, & a couple fleecy blankets - But LRC is nowhere near sleepy, yet!

LRC: "I'm feeling so good I'm doing zoomies along the top of ther steam 🚂 train, from one end over all the carriages, & back again... unless the pool looks too inviting to not take a flying leap into along the way."...(🌊 SPLASH!)

Good afternoon everyone,

Today is definitely a Peace Train kind of day… a few G&T’s last night. Not used to being up so late and hungover today.

Actually last night turned out better than I thought. I started up the fire pit when the sun went down, lit several candles and cranked up the Golden Oldies 80’s hits radio station and chilled. Watched fireworks being set off in my local neighbourhood. 

Didn’t get to sleep until after 3am. Watched the tennis from Perth, the United Cup and then it was lights out. After a few coffees this afternoon, I got motivated to make some Hungarian Langos. It’s basically fried savoury bread dough. The 1st and only thing I have eaten today. They are delicious and chewy, topped with just salt or garlic, or sour cream or cheese or all of the above. I am hopeful that my older son will drop by after work today. He’s in the Emergency Services sector, so it’s all hands on deck during the new year. I am just glad he is on the day shift.

A kind neighbour gave my younger son a Large box of giant King Prawns, already cooked and ready to eat, so thankful that our dinner is set. Still have half of the cheesecake left to eat.

The Langos sound delicious, as does having more cheesecake & prawns [LRC says, "I'll have all those together, please."]

I haven't kept up with the tennis for years. Anyone whose name I might recognise?

Sounds like yu surely did have an enjoyable & relaxed sort of night - & a late morning, I gather. No worries, the BB  afe doesn't close for public holidays anyway.

The United Cup in Perth is not to dissimilar to the Davis Cup, just shorter. Country against County until you get eliminated. Last night was Serbia V China. Serbia won last night.

I used to enjoy The Davis Cup. I remember one year whent the trophy was a very pretty, (& cute) diamond encrusted tennis ball, with lines as a usual tennis ball, in silver, I guess, while the rest was fully covered in diamonds.

I liked the format, so people could see the players at least three times.

& it used to be on the ABC, so no ads!
