The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.
The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.
Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...
So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...
Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open
At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe
Important Message from ModSupport:

Hope you had a good day today, Grandy, & everyone. thankyou for the crumpets. LRC especially likes the anchovy paste, but I think I'll have mine with a little honey. Ithink the anchovy paste will be too salty for me.
Yes, I understand if you are still waiting until a hot day cools down enough aftter sunset for you to sleep would be a problem. If the sun isn't setting until 7:30 - 8:00pm, it won't be long enough for the room to cool in two or even three hours & you might want to go to sleep much earlier.
If your dogs are used to you feeding them at 6pm & you suddenly are an hour earlier, because that is what your clock says, confusing your dogs, because they cn't read clocks, but only have their own doggy sense of what the routine is supposed to be.
I am sure I can live with daylight saving to keep them & you more comfortable . My sleep is so irregular, it won't make so much difference to me.
One thing I do, though, it to have a tall clothes rail, which I have draped a blanket & have it at the end of my bed to block the light from falling over where I sleep in the bedroom, & keeping the neighbours back light out, too, It's donesn't totally darken the room, just over my bed. That's been really good, although sometimes I think having more light reach me in the morning might help me wake earlier - except sometimes I'm waking far too early, anyway.
A little thunderstorm surprised my support worker & I today. Like a mini summer storm, with the dark cloud seeming to have a distinct edge against a layer of white cloud at the horizon... just like I remember seeing when I was younger & seeing things better. It brought feelings of nostalgia.
Hugzies everyone

Hello Snazzypretzel5 - I saw you! Are you someone who likes pretzels? I've liked them, mostly for the salt, so now, I am not enjoying them as often as I once did.
Thanks for the giving me a little blue heart support. Doing that, I get to see who did in my Notifications - that's how I knew it was you, but here in BB Cafe, I can pretend that I saw you out of the corner of my eye, maybe dashing through with some snacks ... & I imagine, pretzels!
I had my dinner, some salad, at around 8pm, during Hard Quiz, & Im feeling hungry again ... & the only pretzels I have are here in BB Cafe, all crisp & cheesey.
Very tired tonigh - t, too tire to do more than curl up on the pool table.
Hugzies & goodnight everyone

we have arrived and are home!! Last week was crazy … furniture removalists, handyman at our new place on different days, internet issues …. The list goes on.
everything seems to have come together and been sorted by today. LG and SB still not 100%, has been bit too much changes for them recently but they are settling in. Lovely neighbours who have already helped me with few things.
recently stood looking over water area which is within area I’m now living. It felt so calming and peaceful. Felt like I’d done that same thing before but was first time. Nice feeling
next step, to continue bring boxes from storage unit home and then, finally, deciding where to hang my photos

HI Patches
Good to see you.
LG & SB cats may take a little while to decide this is their new place now, but to help them along, try to re-establish any routines you had at the old place. I"m sure that will help. Just don't fuss too much.
I imagine you are pretty tired, sore with all the exercise, too, so, look, I'll make room for you on the pool table, tonight.

You too, Paul.
Thanks again for posting your occasional invitations to new & recent members of BB. Certainly, they are welcome to post here, to, as you say, 'test the waters'.
If I could, I would really offer a cuppa & a bite to eat, a comfy chair, sofa, bean-bag, or a place on the lush lawn, or a li-lo in the pool ... yes it's getting warm enough some days, here.
I spent nearly 3 hours in a pool today. It was a tad cool, but too nice to not stay in as long as I could. I did some laps, (it is a relatively small pool, so it was possible), & floated around, moving constantly, doing some of the exercises I do for hydrotherapy, so I feel sure I got a decent amount of exercise today.
I came home for my late lunch of salad, one with potatoes & beetroot, peas & corn in.
& drank heapa of water.
These were good things I did for myself today.

Weather here today is horrible …. Wet, cold, very windy
after having very late start ie was afternoon before I finally woke I went to a local craft market. Didn’t buy anything but was nice seeing all the different items. Gold coin donation entry which gets donated to Black Dog Institute in memory of son of one of the organises.
had planned to go to 3pm film but got home to late plus currently have one very attentive little girl sitting on my knees and not letting me out of her sight. Her brother curled up on top of scratching post and watching me

I had a quiet day, feeling like sleeping, maybe too much, but it also felt good, so I was okay with it, well, not complaining much except I will have to reread some of the audiobook I had playing while I snoozed.
I'd very much like to declutter, but need help with every stage, & then have a support worker who will help me keep my place from becoming cluttered again.
Patches, that's a tranquil way to spend part of a Sunday afternoon.
I hope the weather will be better tomorrow.
Near me, while the Jacarandas are blooming, I don't want it getting windy or stormy, so the flowers stay on the trees longer, but the weather, alas, is not mine to control.

mmMekitty, this afternoon was part of self care day following emotional crash day yesterday with black thoughts (I’ve posted under “suicide and self harm” with full details. In brief, I phoned local prevention unit and tomorrow have initial appointment with their team. Last night spent approx 13 hours in bed with restless, disturbed sleep and nightmares. Finally woke after mid day and heading to bed soon as exhausted
