Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.

The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.

Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ... 

So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...

Hi Matchy, thanks for the warm fire to make this place feel so cosy. The breeze sure has a chilly bite, but if I find a sheltered place in the sun, that warmth sure feels good, like it directly nurishes me somehow.

& Yes the time has flown for me too, but it almost always does these days. I seem to barely do a simple task like writing this post, or a text to someone on my phone, & more than half an hour is gone. That announcement I get to hear to advise me that my content was auto-saved at []time] is alerting me to how the time is passing so quickly!

I can only interrupt it by continuously typing or finishing up & posting, ? or when I pause long enough it seems to think I've gone to sleep & doesn't want to wake me.

Toasted sandwiches for lunch? I got some caramelised onion relish & hot corn beef. with some green stuff like baby spinach  leaves, & thin slices of tomato? Sounds good to me. (If only I had the toamato & spinach leaves - oh, well, have without!?

Where was I? Oh yes, time, us old folks (almost) seem to all feel time passes faster & faster as we age. I don't know why this should be, but it seems so. At least as we perceive it. Even if, like me, you are not highly active & going places, doing stuff every day, it still seems so fast. I don't even what to try to do four things in a day anymore, because there seems not enough time.

Thoughts, anyone? Love to hear others views.

Hi all

Thanks for the best wishes Fiatlux. All in all, he had a good day with lots of presents. He's a good kid, hates homework though! But don't they all! I was thinking about the fast passing of time mmeKitty and I agree with you, the older I get the faster time seems to fly! I try to keep busy, but even on quiet days, the time just rolls along. I don't know where the last twelve years have gone my son is nearing a teenager, and I remember the time he was trying to walk! My birthday is coming around each year a little too quickly as well!

Right now I am sitting by the fire at the cafe, as I tend to feel the cold a little more than other people. I have a book and a lovely hot chocolate. I was going to try a chocolate croissant but that might be a bit too much. Hope all is well with everyone.

Hi again, Galaxy-Hunter.😺I met you briefly in another Discussion.

Let me show you around the pool table, & fireplace, & note the popcorn makers, espcicially the one with the fishy smell - that's mine.

The mmMarshmallows were meant to drop from the ceiling, but the cold weather has delayed this natural process.

There's always plenty in the fridge, pantry & available 24 hrs a day.

So, please, unwind, the jukebox is free, & take your pick of lounge, rocking chair, bean bag, or indoor swing. & if we don't have what you like, we'll install it the time it takes to imagine it.

Tonight I brought in some leftover pizza topping (Ham & pineapple) - sadly the pastry wasn't as good as I'd hoped, even with self-raising flour. Wonder what I'm doing wrong? Realy, the topping is good. with pizza flavour tomato paste, a little brown sugar, paprika, cinnamon, stock powder mixed,, then added the pineapple & ham pieces, then topped with some Hollandaise sauce,, from a jar, (not so good), & bake. I baked a little long, i admit, but it ought to have been better than rusks anyway.

Enjoy the topping, on toast, perhaps?😼Or waffles?

I still have more of the nasty dough I made, & am wondering if I can hope to fix it somehow??? If nothing else I will be heating up my flat more.

I'm doing some washing today, too, so my dryer will be on, heating up my bathroom... so I will be happier to shower & wash hair, in the warm! (Still freezing beyond, so using my oven as well will help me feel better.)

wondering, anyone do Xmas in July? Anyone interested?
