The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.

The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.

Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...

So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...

Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open

At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe

Hello Everyone...🤗..

Moon...I do like grapes with cheese...even though I do like feta cheese I like grapes with Swiss cheeses...Another strange combination that I like is Smiths/Arnott plain salted chips with peanuts....

Magic...Well done...driving to work in your Uncle’s car...I am sure the first time driving a long distance again after an accident is very hard...If it gets to much...Please just pull over somewhere safe and have a break....I hope your working day is good for you today...

I made some hot dogs for lunch today...left the bread rolls in the bread tin..the frankfurters in the big boiler, sauces in the cupboard...all in the BB Cafe’s kitchen...I hope you enjoy them...I did enjoy mine so much...

Ohh I do love hot dogs. Mine was very nice thank you Ggrand. We all have the flu at my place, my son was sent home early from camp at 9 pm last night so that was the end of the quiet evening we were going to have together. But never mind, as long as my son is okay. I hate the fact that all of your body parts ache with the flu, arms legs head. And the sneezing and coughing are woeful. I guess I know how mmeKitty felt.

I'll have to take the next two days off from the kitchen. Sorry about that!

Leisa, I’m so sorry you all have the flu...Like I did for mmMeKitty..I’ll make some nice hot tea with a slice of Lemon and a tea spoon of honey....nature’s medicine...

Please stay warm and rest as much as you can...and not to forget to have plenty of fluids....In winter I like hot water with lemon juice in it...it’s warming and so how calming...

Wishing you a goods nights sleep tonight and hope tomorrow that you wake up feeling a bit better then today...

The lemon & honey really was nice, especially while I had a sore throat, & when I'd been coughing, so soothing. 😺

It's so ccoolldd, even up here around Brisbane, I'm feeling so cold. I thought I ought to open my place up & get fresh air circulating, but so cold I don't want to, so I'm inhaling all my virus-laden exhaled breath...uugh!

So, sadly, it's not a good idea for me to be in anyone else's kitchen just yet....

& in case you don't yet know, mmMekitty likes (almost) any type of food in any combination imaginable, & maybe some which are not...like, a Bombe Alaska with Candied Caviar & Aniseed Anchovies? (Mostly like like the popping of the Candied Caviar 😺).

Good Morning everyone....

This morning I braved my icy house to get up and make some Pancakes...first time in a few years..I’ve had a craving for them so I made some....I was eating them as soon as they came out of the pan...with honey drizzled on top....I bought a huge lot in...with a jar of honey (Manuka)...and some jars of different flavoured jams....Dig in everyone and enjoy them..on this freezing cold day....We’ve had single figure degrees now for over a week....

mmMeKitty...I haven’t tried caviar...but will one day..I heard before that people who have them...enjoy the “popping” of the caviar....

Stay warm everyone...I am going to start designing a doggie bed for my new fur girl today....

I hope everyone’s day today is a good day..

Oh, pancakes! 🥞What a wonderful idea!🍯& honey! (Now I have some).

Physically, I'm feeling better, but another day, just in case, to be sure...

Saturday, I want to go down the road for hot chips! If I'm real quick, they will still be hot when I get back. I can take a little thermal bag - maybe the cold wind can't get into there.

I'll be in my warmest clothes, even though it's sunny...so much cold in that windm even a light breeze feels freezing to me.

At the risk of a higher power bill, I am using my heater tonight. I feel so miserable huddling up in here, freezing... really getting to me... That's also why I want to get out again.

Please do what you can to avoid getting the flu...

& just between us, Grandy, I haven't really had caviar, & I don't really like anchovies. It's all done with the help of mmMekitten's wonderful imagination. 😹/😻

Warmly all, ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Just a thought but more so a warning, scammers are ringing people up to say that their computer is highly affected and it needs to be fixed, offer to do so by gaining access to your computer and obtaining information.

Anybody who rings me on my mobile/landline and can't pronounce my name correctly and say they are from Microsoft or any telephone company etc I just hang up straight away and then block their number.

Take care.

Geoff.

Hi Geoff and everyone...New posters are always welcome too!

Thanks for that Geoff as the scammers are active for sure

It may be somewhat anti social of me but If I dont know the number of an incoming call its ignored. Then if they dont leave a voicemail then they are blocked. If its really important they can knock on my front door! Its not rocket science

I understand everyone is different yet since I cancelled my landline 20 years ago life is peaceful 🙂

my kindest

Paul

Hello Everyone...

Thank you so much Geoff for the warning...its been well received by myself and I’m sure any others....🌹🦋..

Paul, I do the same...if I don’t know the number calling me...I don’t answer it...I installed a blocking phone app a few years ago...and if a number rings my phone that has a high volume of calls....my phone turns red and the phone hangs up on this number...then asks me if I want to block this number...then I do...True Paul..If it’s an important phone call, they will leave a message on message bank for me to get in touch with them...

I’m pleased some of our beautiful community BB Cafe uses like my pancakes...I did enjoy making them..but enjoyed eating them even better...Today I’m making scones...you know the 3 ingredient ones...flour, cream and Lemonade...of course I’ve whipped up heaps of cream, to use with the jams in our fridge....

I have a few extra blankets, I bought in as well....so you can all enjoy eating them while you’re snuggling deep into the warm cuddly blankets....and of course our amazingly warm fire, that’s burning in the middle of our cafe...I like the sounds that the wood makes every so often when it sort of pops as well as the wood crackling..

I hope everyone enjoys their day today..the best they can...

Hugs 🤗..

Hello Geoff, Paul & everyone.

Indeed, be careful. Paul's method is about the best we can do. & be wary of emails if you don't recognise the address they are coming from.

Thanks Geoff, for the heads-up about that suspicious phone call, too. Since there are so many scammers out there, attempting to scam in many ways, this is something we need to be vigilant about, & be educating ourselves about, so we will be able to protect ourselves & will not be taken in.
