The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.
The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.
Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...
So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...
Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open
At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe
Important Message from ModSupport:

😸That little scrolly function the wheel does sure zooms from top to bottom, or bottom to top very fast indeed, depending on where your mouse curser is when you begin, but just slow down by moving the mouse in your hand, slower. It's good when the page is full up with so much but I want to go back up to the top quickly.
I never had a wheel that worked like this before (maybe the other mouse I had was faulty? It didn't do anything! I used to ignore it.
For me, it's mostly trial & error, hoping to remember what I did that was useful, & not repeat whatever was not useful, or worse... but sometimes I just seem to make the same mistakes over & over...
So if you hear anything like a cat fight, it's just me & my PC or iPhone!!
Or if it's from the kitchen, it's me finding things in the cupboards & drawers.

mmMekitty said:Hi Geoff,
I was trying to reply here, & then tried to reproduce what you did, & it seems I have 'cancelled' my attempt to reply, when I tapped my mouse wheel while my mouse pointer was on the link, 'Quote a post' just above the text box. Was that what you did?
I am a little confused about wheter you wanted to 'Quote a post' & it didn't appear, & like me, your text box disappeared, & nothing got posted. Or, if you had accidently already had activated 'Quote a post' & wanted to delete that portion of your post before posting your reply?
I've learned to not press the mouse wheel when the mouse ointer is not on a link. On a blank area, just to be sure, I can & then I can scroll very quickly up & down a webpage, clicking again when I want to stop doing that.
Hope that helps. If not, can you explain, step by step, what you were doing & what happened, & what you wanted to happen?
I'll try to replicate what you did & see if I can achieve what you wanted, & let you know the results of my experiment 😸.

Okay Geoff, you managed to 'Quote a post' pressing the wheel - where was the mouse pointer on your screen when you pressed he wheel? (not the edit cursor, tht looks like a vertical line, or something like a capital I with the horizontal bars top & bottom)?
When I press my wheel button while my mouse pointer, on the link 'Quote a post', & it now looks like a pointing finger cursor, & then press my mouse wheeel, the post I'm still writing disappears. The page refreshes as if I've cancelled the post I was still writing.
Does BB have a 'Technical help' person? I am sure these things ought not be happening.

When my mouse pointer is on a link, looking like a hand with pointing finger, to another page & I press the mouse wheel, the link opens in a new tab.
'Quote a post' is an unusal sort of link, though, isn't it? In fact, this is the only site I've ever seen to have a feature where a click on a link will automatically copy & paste, in italics, with, "Username said all done for us. (Although if I want to quote something someone said, I usually only want to quote part of the post.)
Anyhow, since I am up, not getting back to sleep again, shall I put the kettle on? Is it too early for breakfast? My tummy is not happy with me... could be the mess of pastry I made for dinner - thinking, that one didn't work.

Hello mmMekitty, I lost my reply as it just disppeared while pressing the wheel.
I've tried to press the wheel and all I get is the white circle with an arrow up and down, so the page will scroll by itself, none of what has happened hasn't happened again, may be BB have been able to fix it, never the less it would be nice to know.
So far so good and hope your tummy improves.
My best.
Geoff.

Sorry, may be there should be a technical department we could email for help on the forums, that may solve any problems that may be happening.

Hi all,
Just popping in, I have just come back from a club lunch. Battered fish and chips, mmmm really good. My partner had Tempura Prawns. Got a book today about Bipolar Disorder (the ultimate guide) hoping it can give me some guidance on what I have been recently diagnosed with. It's written in a question and answer format so should be easy to read. Is there any other author besides Kay Jamieson that writes about Bipolar? I would love to know.
Went to the podiatrist yesterday, and my feet felt marvelous afterward, I could have done a Gene Kelly or Fred Astaire quite easily. I can tell you that when your feet feel good, you feel good. I promise.
Have you got any QuickEze here? Never mind, I'll just take some mineral water to cool down. I hope everyone is well.

Hi all,
I did some self- care today and got my nails done. They're sparkly gold. Also been puppy-sitting an adorable pooch. I don't need any food from the cafe today for a change because I've eaten.
My lucky brother is in Hawaii. He comes back soon so we're going to have to return the pup. Bitter- sweet. We love her so much, even though she bites and destroys things. Ah...to be a dog- they have the best life if they have a good owner.
I've been watching big brother and am a little hooked. It's on again tonight.
Why does weight loss have to be so hard. I'm trying and it's not budging.

Hello everyone...
I hope everyone is doing okay...on this cold night...I brought in lots of warm cuddly doonas to snuggle into to keep warm..
Leisa68....I really do enjoy battered fish and chips..sadly out my way I have to travel around 25kilometres to the nearest fish n chip shop...By the time I get home..they are soggy, cold and not yummy at all.....
Geoff...I do hope that it doesn’t happen again for you...I don’t have a computer, only an iPad... I’m not at all knowledgeable in computers..
Magic...Love that you done something nice for yourself I can imagine how beautiful and shiny your fingernails look...
Little puppies are a handful but so cute...some of my chair legs have tiny bite marks on them from my youngest fur girl....
Does anyone else talk to their pets through the day...or if you go out, tell them if they are good, you will bring home a treat for them....Sometimes when I’m stuck on something I’m trying to do...I ask them what I should do?....I don’t get an answer off them 😁..but I do get lots of doggie hugs and kisses....
Wishing everyone a very peaceful night..

Hey, having a great time, here, I see! My pool table got some use, I hopem 😺while I was out, 🎣. Wish I could get the hang of crumbing things, because I like crumbed fish, chicken, pork, ham, roo, well, pretty much anything! I would even try crumbing broccol!
I must admit I'm not so fond of pineapple or banana fritters, though, I know people who love them.
& losing weight sure is difficult. For myself, I really need more exercise. & I ought not have some of the yummy (comforting) foods I enjoy most as often as I do. It's in my own best long-term interest if I can resist having as much, either the portion size or the frequency, of these foods.
Lucky brother, Monkey - hope he brings you something!
& those are pretty nails. 😸Wonder how my claws would loo - maybe rose gold, with my red colouring?
& a little paw massage, too? I think I'd like that. 😺
& Grandy, I think of the little teeth & claw marks as their signatures.
Leisa, just quietly, because this is a Café so we usually don't offer Quick-Eze on the menu, but if you take a quick dash into the staff restrooms... 😸
I think the thought of fish has won me over to thinking that's what's for lunch, no matter how it's cooked.
& indeed, Geoff, I think that's a good suggestion for the forum Project Team to consider. Where's that thread for making suggestions? Of-course, now, I won't hope it could be included at this late date for the next upgrade, coming soon! But in future upgrades, yes please?!
mmMekitty
