The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.
The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.
Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...
So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...
Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open
At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe

Hey yggy,
Chill'n out the back of the cafe was good, i like to be around people but i really like peace and quite some times so my mind doesn't get overloaded…
Both you and Sherie made me laugh! yes Lucy is a dog and she does not snore but she is purrfect so I can see how you got confused, Lucy loves to curl up next to people she likes, she snuggles up and gets close it's makes me feel wanted when she does that with me.
Yggy I am half way through the CBT course and yes some of it is in your face but you can take your time with it and take little steps you don't need to overwhelm yourself.
Hows kool is that your going to be a grandparent, does your daughter know the gender of the baby? does she live close to you??.
Seems like your morning was ok which is great and I hope the afternoon was the same.

Hi to all the lovely cafe folks. I'm going to just sit here, watch the Big Bash and calm down. I'm battling technology again, I have rubbish internet that keeps dropping out. I've been so wanting to talk to everyone but now I can finally get on here I'm too cross.
And I had a rubbish day, so I'll just sit and sulk for a while, till I come good.
Big hugs to you all.
Kaz

Oh Kazzz, thats not good. Sorry you had such a rubbish day. You can sulk all you like, I wont disturb you. Internet and technology are so frustrating. Do you have the NBN in Canberra? We have it available where I am, but we havent switched over yet.
Looks like Sydney Thunder will be chasing a pretty formidable total in tonights Big Bash. And being without their skipper Michael Hussey tonight, I think they may be facing their 3rd defeat in a row. Very disappointing after such as good promising to their season.
Hope you 'come good' soon. ( - :

Hi All,
Sherie, glad to know you had a good nights sleep! That's half the battle for me.
Shelley, I stayed in line and had a hug as well, thank you!
Wayne, the picture of Lucy finally came through! She is awesome and I will definitely not imagine her to purr anymore.
I am glad you could spend a little more time today. Are you feeling better?
I take it really slow with the CBT, I don't want to overload my little brain. Too much going on in there already. Met my psych yesterday. I find the gradual exposure extremly challenging. Not sure if I want to do this at all.
KT Thanks for the tacos! I brought a set of tables and chairs, bright green and pink stripes, with a sun umbrella for the outside area. I'll just lounge outside and listen to the birdies and watch the fish in the pond while having tacos.
Kaz, are you ok? Come and sit with me in the sun!
Mangof, nice to see you here, enjoy!
Have a good weekend all, Yggy x

Hi everyone! Lunchtime and there's nowhere I'd rather be than here at the cafe.
Welcome Mangof! Great to see you. Yggy you are a sweet one, yes I'd love to sit in the sun with you for a while, while I eat my taco (thanks KT - you are such a good cook).
Sorry about sulking last night. Must admit it wasn't just the immensely frustrating technology. I'm not handling work that well again at the moment. Some issues I thought were resolved at the end of last year (about restructures, future work etc) appear not to be, and the battle continues. Never mind. (I'll have one of your beautiful hugs if that's OK Shell).
Sherie - glad you had a better night last night. Must have been all the excitement of the Big Bash eh? I am so enjoying that.
Hiya Wayne! And Lucy - what a cutie.
A hi too to TMB, the lovely Chicken Wings (I'm nearly packed for our UK trip), Scotchfinger, and all others who visit or lurk.
I won't be around tonight (even if the internet is working) because I'm going to the movies with my fella and my daughter to see Suffragette. Chinese dumplings meal beforehand (I'll bring some back).
Hugs to all.
Cheers
Kaz

Hi Yggy. Yes I feel so much better if I get a bit of sleep. Any baby news yet?
Regarding your CBT / Exposure Therapy. Dont be pushed into going any faster than you are ready to go. I nearly said 'comfortable'. But you definitely have to go outside your comfort zone. Only way this therapy will work. But it can be done at your own pace. My psych tried many different methods of extracting info I wasnt prepared to let go of. For me it took a lot of time and persistence on her part (hence some sessions lasting 3 - 4 hours) but eventually it all came out. After that, it became easier to talk or think about. I agree with you, its extremely challenging and distressing. You will feel worse before you start to feel better. Its totally understandable that you are having second thoughts. I did too, and several times I rang her and said I wouldnt be in. Each time she would convince me to keep going. I'm glad I did, because I can now think about certain things without breaking down. That wasnt possible before. Dont give up as even a small progress can make a huge difference.
On a lighter note - From another thread I learned that ScotchFinger is a half decent guitarist. So I have invited him to bring his guitar along to the Cafe for a bit of a jam session. He says he isnt much of a singer, but I'm sure between all of us, we can hold a tune of some sort. It'd be great wouldnt it, if he could come and play a bit of 60's and 70's music tonight to end the week on a good note (no pun intended). Maybe even make it a regular guest appearance for Friday nights. What do you reckon?
Oh, and welcome to Mangof who is a first timer at the Cafe. I'd love to join you for a chai latte, and do some people watchinf of my own. I like doing that at train stations and airports too.
KT - again many thanks for the lunch, I havent had tacos in ages. I'd forgotten how much I like them. Like you, I hate going to the GP. Sometimes I have panic attacks while I'm waiting in the waiting room, just because I'm concerned he will want to discuss things I dont want to discuss. Its a necessary evil though. Good idea about some games, puzzles, etc. Definitely be into that! Oh and dont worry about Mocha and Latte, they've worn themselves out now and are basking in the sun out the back. Good little kitties ........
Kazzl - I've missed seeing you around. Hope your day at work is better today than it was yesterday, and that your internet has decided to play fair for you.
Love to you all
