Positive thread - any suggestions (games, coping strategies, anything at all)?

Hi everyone. I'm Tayla and I'm 20, posted here a few times.

I thought I'd try and make a positive thread, for anyone to get involved in, to hopefully chat to new and previous people I've talked to on here, anyone. Here's some suggestions below, comment (if anyone is up to it) whatever you like.

  • Game suggestions (for example there's one on this BB Social Zone "Movies A-Z").
  • What music you like (bands, songs, albums, anything) to introduce people, & see if you have any interests.
  • Anything that helps you cope with anything, any coping strategies at all.
  • Movies you like.
  • Books you like.
  • TV Shows you like.
  • Anything at all you'd like to discuss - positive stuff such as inspiring quotes, anything happy!

Feel free to comment whatever you like, that goes for anyone, if you feel comfortable. I hope to hear from some people, new and previous ones I've talked to. I hope this thread is alright to post & brings some happiness & socialisation to these BB Forums.

Thanks!

Hey eight, thanks for your reply.

Not sure what you're saying exactly but that's alright. I just thought this thread would be a good idea since it's positive, & hopefully it would help me & others, & have a few people come here.

All good though. Take care, hugs.

I like watching comedy TV when im feeling a little down

- Parks and rec, How I met your mother, Brooklyn 99 etc.

No matter how many times ive seem them, they still give me a laugh.

My favourite guilty pleasure movie is crazy rich asians.

Hi Gambit87.

Sounds nice. I've only seen Parks & Rec & How I Met Your Mother out of those shows, I personally don't like them but each to their own, huh? As long as you like them & get a laugh then thats good.

I like comedies myself, Live At The Apollo is a good one, a mixture of all comedians from around the world performing in the UK, it's been around for ages.

Or I like The King Of Queens, Becker, Frasier is alright but not my favourite, & Everybody Loves Raymond. & stuff like that.

Haven't seen Brooklyn 99 of Crazy Rich Asians yet. Thanks for the suggestions.

Hugs,

Tayla

Hey Tayla! I’m Storm.

I love playing PS4 in my spare time, I’m big on gaming and meeting people online!

I live in a small country town away from family and friends and don’t have any social interaction with anyone here except my partner and work mates - apart from when my parents visit or I go to Melbourne and see my family and friends.

Gaming gives me a sense of socialising and gives me a chance to interact and have fun!

*hugs*

Hi Storm.

Welcome to the forums, I see your first post is on my thread, thank you so much, that means a lot. I hope I can talk to you more on the forums.

I also live in a small country towns, but I live with my parents as I have my whole life. I couldn't live on my own. Maybe one day.

Hugs back, I hope you find support on the forums and I hope you somehow find some social interaction in your town, I know how that feels.

My 3 biggest coping mechanisms would be listening to music, playing sport such as soccer or tennis as well as writing. They seem to relax me when I'm stressed or depressed. I don't know why lol, that's just me. I wonder if anyone else on these forums is similar.

Hi Stressed Guy.

That's great that you have things like that, I'm glad they help & relax you.

Take care.

Hugs,

Tayla

Hey Healing heart.

Becker is a good show, Frasier is alright too. Never watched Downtown Abbey, doesn't seem like my thing.

Take care and thanks for replying to my thread.

Just came across this thread. Thankyou Tayla.

I am doing my best to stay positive and happy. Which some days its okay, other days just blah. Other days sadness.

Somethings that I find that makes me smile lately were

... Watching a video on ytube of a dog having fun jumping on a trampoline. And also watching a sheep bounce on a trampoline.

... Singing loud in the car when I am driving by myself

... Dancing alone
