Life's a box o' chocolates...what flavour are you?

Hi all!

Feeling chirpy and quirky this morning. Chocolate is a little bit naughty (aphrodisiac), extremely varied in choice, a migraine for some and guilty pleasure for others. Do you only have one, or consume the box?

My favourite centre is mandarin. I pick out the one's I like and leave the rest behind.

I'd say I'm dark and mysterious and a little bit gooier in the centre. So I think I'd be a Jaffa Old Gold. I can seem bitter depending on your taste, but when you get to my centre, I'm sweet and zesty!

Cheers...Dizzy x

Hello Dizzy,

In a box of chocolates I always choose the coffee or orange flavours. Despite that if I'm buying a block of chocolate then my supreme favourite is N's White Chocolate (sometimes called Milky Bar I think).

The one flavour in a mixed box I never eat is Turkish Delight. Eewhh!! Yuk! Luckily it's my husband's favourite so it's not wasted.

When making nice yummy chocolate recipes I can't come at Rocky Road as I'm not a lover of marshmallows.

End result? A particular fussy lady, methinks!!

My favourite chocolates are the marzipan centres. Closely followed by Turkish Delight (sorry Yellownanna, someone has to do this).

After this I like Mars bars and Bounty. Also mint chocolate.

In fact I think there are no chocolates I dislike so I need to avoid them all, especially when I get the dentist's bill.

Hey Mary...YellowNanna; thanks for posting. Which one would you say you are today? Naughty, nutty...?

What chocolate describes who you are and why? Have some fun and be creative.

Smile...Dizzy x

Chocolate, well..... I would describe myself like a few different ones at different times.

First there is the triangular pyramid one which is a toberlone, like up and down like a turbulent ocean. My emotions feel like that.

Second there is that one with all the bits in it, Cadbury creation I think it is called. It sort of doesn't know what sort of chocolate it is supposed to be, quite mixed up. I sometimes feel this way, like who am I. ( I don't like this chocolate though, as there is something in it which explodes in your mouth)

Next then there is the refreshing choc mint patties. I feel like this sometimes, an invigorating fresh feeling. Like after a cold shower, walking in cold air, having a fresh haircut, drinking chilled water from a crystal clear stream and wearing the colour blue and white.

Then the smooth clean and pure white chocolate. The milky bar. Particularly like this one.

An easter egg, because I get crushed sometimes and sometimes melt if not properly looked after or something. The Lindt brand.

Smarties well because I do like a bit of fun, every now and then

Plain milk chocolate as it is dependable, a bit old fashioned.

Bounty because it has coconut in it, which reminds me of the beach . And I like the beach.

Ferrari Roche well..... because they look real elegant and royal wrapped in the gold paper. Helps me feel extra special and elegant because they look so royal like.

And freedo frogs, as I think I am child like at times.

Also I would find it a challenge to stop at just eating one chocolate from a box.

Please note: I have to be honest though, chocolate is not my friend, and has tricked me into thinking otherwise.

Hi Dizzy. I am particularly partial to anything with caramel. But another favourite is peppermint. There is really only one type of chocolate that I dont particularly like, and that is dark chocolate. It just isnt creamy or luscious enough for me. So I cannot readily pass up any chocolate other than plain dark varieties. Although if they have soft centres I dont mind it so much.

Today, I feel I am any chocolate with a soft centre. Solid exterior allows me to appear strong to the casual observer, but inside I am soft and very vulnerable. Get through that outer layer, and I will just crumble or collapse like oozing soft caramel.

Hi Shell and Sherrie;

Shell...you are a mixed bag of variety! Sound yummy...

Sherie...I know those soft, oozing and vulnerable moments too well. Would love to warm you up with smooth and decadent chocolate ganash. A pleasure for the palette as it melts across the tongue and down the throat. (Sigh)

Lovely to hear from you all...special hello and kind thoughts to Mary; wish you well on Tuesday.

Smiles...Dizzy x

Me, what could I be?

A Mars Bar. 😉

Mmm...caramel, sticky and whipped gooey stuff wrapped in chocolate...

Rob, I'd say you're naughty and nice, layers of different textures, a whole lot of yummy and a special treat for all ages!

Manga! (Italy speak) Dizzy x

Well since I am a variety box of chocolates......... The chocolate that I am like today (which I really dislike by the way), would be the muddled up, don't know what supposed to be sort of chocolate "Cadbury creation". I am so jumbled up, I cannot be certain if this is the correct name even.
