Hey! Welcome to Friends Cafe.

This is a chill and chat space for young BB members to talk about anything and everything and make new friends.

When school's getting to you, uni or work has got you down, parents, partners, friends don't understand, and especially if you're feeling alone or lonely - come and relax awhile and talk to others who know just how you feel.

Our minds can cause us trouble, but they can also be amazing things that imagine beauty, love and fun. This cafe has everything you can imagine. To start with it's, well, a cafe. So there's chairs and tables, comfy couches for flopping, a big screen tele, unlimited download on computers for games, Spotify (or an old-school jukebox if you prefer), every movie you can think of on instant demand ... whatever you want, it's here. Post and tell us what'd you'd like.

Plus, there's an infinite menu of whatever food or drinks takes your fancy. And it's all free!

To kick it off, today we have a special range of Monster Milkshakes - those thick gooey shakes topped with cronuts, chocolate bars, cake, cookies ... whatever you want. And if you can get through one of them, you're a legend (and probably feeling a little bit sick LOL!)

Welcome friends.

Hey guys! I hope you are doing well!

Yesterday I had to get presents for my teachers. I chose my mentor, my core subject teachers and some other teachers who are awesome. Last week of school will be fun. We basically just play Minecraft and other games with our friends. It's so much fun!

Hi everyone! I'm new here, looking forward to spreading love & positivity with you all.

I'm 17, and I really enjoy reading, writing, art and spending time with my lovely cats and bf. I like tea and snuggles!

How are you all doing? Today I'm feeling very anxious and depressed, but that's okay! Tomorrow is a new day!

What do you all do to make yourselves feel better when you're feeling down? Sending you guys my love and hugs 😄

All the best x

Hello hazel,

It's nice to meet you here. I love your attitude towards looking forward.

I think it really depends for me. Sometimes I think it's good to just let myself feel down and find something quiet to do. It's usually a bit of a hint to myself that I've been overdoing something and I need to just relax. Now that I've learnt how to reassure myself that things are temporary, I can usually be down for a day without being worried about the next day.

On the odd occasion that I'm feeling really vulnerable, I try to meet with friends to distract myself. That's because it's usually some kind of loneliness that really sends me onto a bad spin, so being around others is basically all I need. And if I can't find any friends, then I try to go to a bunch of cafes and make as much conversation with the baristas as I can.

Hiii!

I don’t really have much to do at the moment (asides from playing the flute, which as much fun as it is, I need a break sometimes!)

I’m pretty new, and don’t really know anyone, how are y’all? What do you do as a hobby?

Hello saroseme,

I always wanted to play the flute, but never got around to it. I stuck it out with clarinet for 7 years before I finally didn't have the time or bother.

Hobbies...oh I guess I read a bit, I paint and sometimes attempt to write. I dunno. I tend to just try things until I get bored, then move on, and eventually cycle back to the original hobbies. Have you got any things you've thought, "I wish I could do...but..."

Hello!

I took up flute 2 years ago, as part of a band program, at the time, I was so terrible that I almost got moved to another instrument (clarinet, actually) instead! I’m one considered a really good flautist (by teachers etc. not myself, as there’s always room for improvement) so I guess sometimes it’s really about effort.

I have pretty similar hobbies, whatever I’m interested in at the time, that saying, apart from music, I practically have no talents, so hobbies do normally come and go!

I agree with that “I wish I could do (certain thing)” and it’s pretty accurate, sometimes, I do try to do the specific things, most go pretty terribly, but at least you learn, and somethings go ok, so it really depends!

Hey Sam,

Haha I am sure you are underselling it a bit, or perhaps you think you are worse than you really are. Or perhaps it doesn't even matter.

I've started to just do things for fun I suppose. I may be terrible at singing, but damn nobody is gonna stop me singing in the car lol.

Hi James!

Haha, I don’t know sometimes, I’ve had a lot of teachers, but I can’t really tell what they think! I went to my local music store yesterday and got a book that had my favourite piece in it, so that was good!

I think that’s a good mindset, it’s good to try new things, as far as singing goes, as long as no one hears me, I’m fine with it!
