Hi ER & everyone
Looks like I will have to get weaving. To play the game properly, Croix will be wanting a red & white stripey long-sleeve t-shirt.
& all the inebriated kiwis & pesky penguins, the entire Wake the Walrus band, including EfFe will be wearing their own red & white stripey tops* as will all the sea life from blue whales to krill, (hey, that's a good 5-letter word!), as will I
& we can have a little competition to see who can find Where's the Walrus!
Prize?
hmmm, I've got some mmMarshmallows, & this apple which somehow didn't get into the applepieberg.

*The red & white stripey tops are 'one size fits All, both individually & literally.

Dear MK,
It is hilarious that everyone, from krill to EfFe, will be wearing the same size red and white stripey tops. I’m imagining the krill will look minuscule in their oversize jumper, given the same jumper will fit EfFe. If you would like some help, the stingrays are great knitters with their tails and can have some ready very soon. I wonder, should there be a hoodie with the outfit? I think it would look rather cute on a walrus, penguins, kiwis etc.
I think we might have the making of a great children’s book in the works. I’m imagining a giant book we can take to schools that the kids can open and look for the walrus, hiding somewhere new on each page. Of course his tusks might be the giveaway.
Hugzies,
ER

Hi Croix, ER & everyone,
ER I was reimagining "Where's Wally?" & recalling now, he had a red & white cap with a red pom pom on top, wore blue jeans, had brown hair, pale skin, & round glasses - & come to think of it, kind of reminds me of Sophie_M!
There used to be a series of picture books, enjoyed by children & adults alike. In each picture of many people animals & objects, the idea was to find Wally.
But never mind that now. I've just noticed "Mondy Python & the Holy Grail is on tonight, again, SBS 32. I hope there will be audio description, & that I don't get too tired tonight. It' begins at 7:30, l3ww than an hour now.
I hope you've noticed Croix - I remember that is one of your favourites.

Dear MK (and Croix wherever you are lurking),
Yes, I know the Where’s Wally books and guessed that’s what you were referring to. I had forgotten about the white hat with the red pom-pom. That would look very cute on a walrus. I remember a place that did take away food that had Where’s Wally pictures on the tables under glass. You could look for Wally while eating your meal.
I think the Holy Grail is the Monty Python movie I haven’t seen. I did enjoy The Life of Brian. The scene that made me laugh out loud in that was the random alien spaceship that catches him when he falls off the tower. About 2 minutes ensue of him in the spaceship as the aliens battle another craft before crash landing back to earth. It appealed to my sense of absurd humour because it was so random. I also like the bit where he is trying to stop the crowd worshiping him and tells them, “You are all individuals”, and the crowd chants back in unison, “Yes, we are all individuals”.
Anyway, I hope you’re enjoying the Holy Grail. I cannot watch it on my TV with no SBS 32. Wouldn’t it be fun if there was a Monty Pythonesque tale about a walrus on an iceberg? Hmmm 🤔
The Holy Tusk?
The Life of Croix?
Hugzies,
ER

P.S. Is it just me or are strange things happening on the BB forum? I’ve had several notifications about people posting in particular threads today, but when I go there their posts are not there.

Eagle Ray...so what else is new? Strange things always happening on here...since the whole forum layout changed so dramatically when it did. I just try and hang onto the friends I can still find and connect with..have we met before? Croix and I often have a chat but I know he's been away...so checking in today I notice you're all obsessed with apple pies and custard and whatever. I hope he can straighten you all out when he returns.
Tell him when You see him...I was thinking of him the other night when our favourite Monty Python was on....and I've always loved Brassed Off ...what a great movie...terrific stars. Finale with William Tell Overture in Albert Hall gets the adrenalin going....real class act. Poor old Mr Chuckles! anyway nice to have a quick word even if Croix is still too scared to come back to his own iceberg....tidy it up will you, before he gets back. Hope he's OK.....Happy Springtime everyone! .....Bring Me A Shrubbery!

Dear Moon,
Yes, I hope things are ok with dear Croix. We better sort out the iceberg. I hope he’s hungry for apple pie.
I don’t know what was happening on Thursday but had several notifications about people responding to threads on that day. But there has been no actual appearance of a response in those threads. I was just hoping the people are ok and wondering if they posted but it was lost in the ether. The previous day I made three posts that didn’t appear until the next day, so perhaps there is a bit of a glitch or bottleneck somewhere in the system.
I’m guessing Bring me a shrubbery is from The Holy Grail. I just looked up a clip where they are looking for a shrubbery and are told that first they have to chop down a tree with a herring 😂 I love the absurdity.
Happy Springtime to everyone too!

Dear All~
I'm back and I'm sure you will be delighted to know I've won the 'Where's The Walrus' competition - don't stint on the prizes please.
I had a routine minor medical matter (how's that for alliteration:) and am now fit enough to look at my poor iceberg covered in crust and custard with the inebriated kiwis floating upside down in it waving thier little feet and hiccuping.
One of them complained the least you could have done was make it brandy custard.
I hope you all have been OK while I've been away. I think one of you may have missed Brassed Off which is currently on SBS On Demand (you need an account but no charges)
https://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/movie/brassed-off/2092729411874
I"m not sure how to get around the problem of adverts stalling the stream. I'll have a play with it when I get a chance (a stack of mail and notifications waits to be dealt with:(
Croix (who is no longer 'gone fishing')

Now, I'm sure I have lost a post here .... I've looked everywhere, even in the custard. ....
which reminds me, I am surprised even one kiwi complained about the custard not being brandy custard, because of how difficult it is to complain about anything when your head is stuck in custard. I admit to noticing some bubbles, & put that down to burping, (that being the most agreeable reason for bubbles in custard where there are inebreated kiwis).
I had wanted to let you know I am well on the way to packaging all the apple pie into single serve containers for you to have desserts ready & waiting - just below your iceberg. Defrost & reheat as you would like. Indeed, there is so much you may never need buy dessert again.
Is that a suitably impressive prize for winning the Where's the Walrus Competition - even though for you it was an easy challenge. All you had to do was to look into any reflective surface.
I've been fairly well. I've changed my support worker to take advantage of the new worker's experience with gym work & exercise. I intend to speak to the OT about getting a new support co-ordinator, because the one I have has been difficult to get hold of, & doesn't seem to get work done promptly &, most recently, hasn't understood about how to get a particular form filled properly. & there has been no progress on getting me another place to live, away from these neighbours, & into somewhere more accomadating of my needs.
Someone from the NDIA had suggested that if we can fill in this form, with evidence provided, with a diagnosis of PTSD from my PDr or some psychologist I haven't even met, then more funding for more hours, & including funding a housing option that would suit me better. We had that meeting with the person from NDIA in June. Progress seems so slow.....
Meanwhile I'm continuing to have problems with my memory & waiting six more weeks to see the geriatrician again. That's the earliest I could get.
Also, I seem to have found a good GP now!

P.S. Croix, did you catch any fish while you were gone fishin' or did you go to lay back, lose track of time & let the world go on without you for a while?
