I’ve been struggling with major depressive disorder for just under 11 months. I was diagnosed with anxiety but as time has gone by a slight depression has potientally started to develop Although I see a psychologist and psychiatrist and am medicated I’m still not coping.
im still attending school but life is so hard and I can’t work but my family still try to force me into it and it causes panic attacks
i don’t know what to do and I’m struggling to want to keep trying. I feel like no one understands and that my life is falling apart because of me
i just really need advice and someone to talk to about life
please if anyone is struggling share your story as I want to talk to people that are living with mental illness

hi Topaz and welcome to BB
i have been diagnosed with depression, anxiety, complex ptsd and borderline personaility disorder.
although you see health professionals, recovery is a long journey. there are no overnight fixes and its frustrating i very much understand that. its taken me 6 months to even just get my medications right.
have your tried talking to your family about how going to work is a stressor for you and that maybe you would like to just focus on schooling for the time being?
are you still in high school or at uni/tafe?
happy to keep chatting to you and welcome 🙂

This is going to make you feel confused so you're not going to make any progress, so you need to decide who is helping you more than the other, and don't forget your doctor can continue on prescribing the medication, but if you still want to see both of them then please do so.
If you have anxiety then depression will always be right behind it and the same happens the other way around.
We hope to hear back from you. Geoff.
