Feeling so overwhelmed.
alone and unsupported.
Taking small steps is not producing required outcomes .
Stubborn people causing roadblocks .
meantime g to run away….. but ….
runnkng away won’t solve anything . Problems still there if you come back and resurface if you don’t !
some sort of normalcy would be nice but who even knows what that is ????

Hello Hope74,
I'm sorry you're feeling overwhelmed and unsupported. Hopefully you can find some support here on the forums.
Producing change can be a long and uncertain process. I know I often feel despite taking steps in my therapy, that nothing has changed. All I can say is to keep trying and you will eventually achieve your required outcomes. These stubborn people that are causing roadblocks, can they be ignored? Also, you're absolutely right in saying that running away does not solve your problems, unfortunately the only way to tackle them is head on.
When it comes to normalcy, can you create it? Can you create a routine to stick to? Can you purposefully bring moments of peace into your day?
Wishing the best,
Beeee

Hi Hope74, warm welcome to the forums.
Life sounds tough for you at the moment. I'm proud of you for joining the forums and sharing.
Can we bring it back quite a lot?
It's important to label the things that are tough, so that the anxiety spiral UPwards of overwhelm doesn't take over completely.
You said taking small steps isn't producing the outcomes you require.
What are those goals you aspire to?
IMHO any small steps towards our goals shows progress... "Rome wasn't built in a day" kind of thing.
Darned "stubborn people" they are ALWAYS obstacles in our paths!
If everyone would just move on over and get out of our way, then we could achieve ALL our goals.... or more rationally, could we?
Running away may not make issues disappear but having a break from them to do some stuff YOU want to do is called self-care and can really recharge our batteries for the long haul.
Lastly if anyone knows what "normalcy" looks like, I'd like the guide book too!
Apparently I'm too much of this and not enough of that to everyone but my fiance, God bless his cotton socks.
Outside of this, what exactly is overwhelming you at this time?
If you could write about these things, we'd love to offer more specific support to you. Hugs!!
Best wishes
EM

Hey Hope!
I have to agree with Ecomama, we're a bit left in the dark on what's going on so it's hard to say how we can reassure you.
However, I have some very solid advice I've learnt through dealing with panic attacks, you're very right when you say running away doesn't help and things will only resurface. Each time you leave a stressful situation, you're reinforcing in your brain that this IS something to be anxious about, sure you get the relief then and there, but it'll only be harder to face the same challenge or similar in the future. You very much train your brain when it comes to anxiety, so the more tough situations you push on through the more resilient you'll become, and this is a powerful tool, people without similar anxieties could never develop. So it's your secret weapon in the long run.
This past year I've spent slowly building myself up, from getting my Ls and driving to being able to be in public spaces and not panic. I have to be honest it's still not the easiest thing in the world, but of late I've felt okay going out. This whole process were all baby steps, built me up to where I am now and where I'll be in the future as long as I keep pushing forward.
Anything you do that is towards your desired goal is an accomplishment, I know all to well how hard it is, and from a stranger on the internet, for each and every step you've taken I'm extremely proud of you.
I'm sorry for the frustrations you have to deal with, but they won't be forever. Also try not to put pressure on yourself and remember if it's a situation you can't control, accept it's out of your control, worrying about something you can't do anything about will only cause more stress than it warrants.
We all support you, if you ever need to share more we'll hear you out.
Wishing for the best 🙂

Hello Hope, you can't take even small steps, if you are going back to what you're trying to overcome, these steps then need to be going in another direction, that's how you slowly build up your strength, not having to cope with the people who are causing this to happen.
This can't be taken as 'running away', because you're not, all you are doing is going in another direction, that's how I overcame my anxiety and depression, and along the way you learn and meet other people when you are ready.
You are unable to cope with these stubborn people, simply because they will provide these road blocks and will always be a hassle in anything you try and do, but you have to make this decision, and yes I was afraid, but slowly the world changed for me.
Please ask any question you like.

Hi Hope74,
I am so sorry you are feeling like this, it must be very hard for you. I get you - what is "normal" anymore? I think we all have different versions of the word, we are all unique in our struggles and what makes a normal daily life for us.
You are not alone - we are here to support you. Do you see any doctors for your situation? Or a therapist? This can be helpful in managing the challenges that pop up in life.
I don't know what problems you are having, but just know you are not alone and there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
I hope things improve for you.
Jaz xx
