Nervous about biopsy

Those here would know I'm a champion, but that does not make me special in any way. Like anyone or everyone here, I still have moments where anxiety sneaks in. Lately, I've had a lot on my mind, especially as Thursday approaches. So...

In two days, I'm heading to the hospital for a biopsy. While my MRI results were okay, my blood tests showed slightly elevated levels, which my doctor wants to investigate further. Prostate cancer runs in my family, so this adds to my concerns. I do take comfort in knowing that those in my family who faced it have come through it successfully.

This feels a bit more serious than what I’ve dealt with before—outside of an eye surgery a few years ago—but I’m trying to stay grounded. I just wanted to share this, not for pity or sympathy, but because it’s been on my mind and if you have been wondering why I have not been around ... tiredness, nervous, not sleeping. I hope you can forgive me.

Hey Tim

Your daughter is precious....bless her heart. I think she takes after her dad  🙂

Hello dear Tim,

All the best for good results which I realise is today now. It’s lovely to have your daughter looking out for you. Let us know how you go 🤗

there are two things to come out of today:

1. when we (wife and I) get into the office to find out the results, the specialist asked "do you want the good news or the good news?" The results were as good as can be. I will go back in 6 months with another blood test and the aim is to go back to annual check-ups.

2. After the appointment I was genuinely happy and feel that perhaps the most happy I have felt in a very long, if not forever. And even now, a few hours later I feel I am still on cloud nine.

So yeah ... happy right now

Awesome smallwolf! I am really happy for you 😀 It’s fantastic that not only is the news good but you feel so great as well!

I guess one thing about these temporary health concerns is they put everything in perspective and perhaps we value life more than ever and realise how magical life is. Whatever it is for you, enjoy the happiness and maybe do something like going out to dinner with your family to celebrate 🙌

Hugs to you smallwolf 🤗

That's fantastic! Great to hear the results were positive.

Hi Eagle. Thanks. My celebration is actually donuts. Might not sound like much but tastes really nice.

That’s fantastic smallwolf 🍩😋 That’s a great way to celebrate!

I’m quite partial to donuts. I don’t eat them very often and even less since finding out I’m gluten sensitive. But you mentioning them made me do a search for gluten free donuts and I found there’s a place in the big regional town I’m staying near tonight that does gluten free vegan donuts. I might have to investigate. Yum yum 😀

Hello Tim,

Awesome news….really happy for you…as I know many other people will be….🙏🤗🩷..

hugs, dear Smallwolf.
