Dear Moving mimz~
Having that good month must tell you something -that you are capable of living a pretty reasonable life, and you did it by using not only support but also medication.
Now you're finding there are down times. First that's normal to a degree, and second by now your medication will have settled down, and you are getting the effects from that particular dosage.
I've been back to my prescribing doctor many times to tweak things to make up for changes in myself or my circumstances. Can I suggest you do the same thing, taking a list with you of the things that are not right? If I don't use a list I forget important things, just me I guess.
Now the hard part. Of course I would like to talk with you, but it is simply not possible. The whole idea of the Support Forum is that nobody knows who anyone is. Attempting to find out and try to make contact outside the Forum is not allowed.
It's not all bad, I'd say the majority of people here (myself included) would never have come here in the first place if they were not totally anonymous.
So that way you are stuck, either talk about something and some others may see, or leave the subject alone. That would be a pity, if it is on your mind and a worry then leaning on someone else helps.
I'm not a judgmental sort, and neither is anyone else here. I write because I care and want the best life for those I write to. Much better than I had if possible.
I agree there are some subjects that are very hard to bring up, feeling suicidal is one, being the subject of abuse is another. Still people do talk about them and hopefully find the understanding and care they deserve.

you told me you have similar digestive issues because of your anxiety right. These hopefully get better?
Your quality of life is much better now right?

Dear Moving mimz~
Due to a specific medication the digestive problems are under control, the same with headaches and other matters. So you see it does get better. Frankly the thing I find can go adrift with is my sense of proportion, and there talking with sensible people I respect, wife , psych etc, my perspective is restored.
Similarly the heartbeat and nausea does not happen unless I'm realy stressed, something I try to avoid. You must remember that my problems were different to yours, with PTSD, bouts of depression and constant anxiety, all mixed together and left far too long before being treated.
Getting stressed or triggered happens at a movie or in a book, or a phrase or smell, reminding me of the past, as well as getting stressed in hte same way as you.I would imagine your condition will improve a lot faster and further than mine.
My quality of life is good. I'm happy with it.

Hey croix
so did you experience nausea, lack of appetite and IBS like symptoms with your anxiety. I would love to know what medication that is but I know you can not discuss that here. That’s fine
I really hope so, I want my quality of life back. Honestly I felt great for about 3 weeks 😞 and then boom dipped again.
what is really hard for me. Is when I become anxious about everything and lack motivation.

Dear Moving mimz~
Yes, the prohibition on talking drugs can seem frustrating, however it is simply too dangerous to do so. Others have used drugs I've been on in the past and have had good results where I've had nothing or bad reactions. We are al different.
All I can say is my psychiatrist believes directly treating the symptoms as well as the underlying conditions relieves stress.
Yes, it is hard when anxiety ramps up, and motivation disappears partly though worry of stuffing something up, and partly that things might not turn out well anyway. It does pass. Go give yourself a reward, it realy helps.
I've read for half a day then thought maybe I might just give that task a try. My coping skills started to return by themselves when I was preoccupied and not fretting.

Thanks croix. Honestly speaking to you makes me have hope that I will reach a life where I’m happy again.
I agree with your psychiatrist. Because when I was good for 3 weeks my symptoms were gone and didn’t stress about them.
im anxious about being anxious. If that makes sense.

Dear Moving mimz~
Of course it makes sense. Anxiety stops you from doing even everyday things at times, and is highly unpleasant to experience, so worrying about that happening is perfectly understandable. I do it too at times..
That 3 weeks will return -for longer and longer

Hi croix,
just thought I’d update you I was doing much better again for those 3 weeks. But relapsed again possibly due to hormonal time of month not sure. Also I kind of make it worse because I fear the anxiety itself.
the medication has helped heaps but doc has suggested I increase the dose. Hmm just frustrated. Was doing very well.

Dear Moving mimz~
Nice to hear from you again. Actually it sounds as if you are a bit more in charge than you used to be -not perfect plus ups and downs, but you are having some say in what happens. For example you decide about the increase in meds, weigh the benefits vs side effects.
Do you think there is any room in your life to ramp up the lifestyle benefits, exercise, nutrition, sleep and not being isolated? Plus of course something to look forward to each day?
A combination of current meds or a lesser increased dose might still help. Something may to talk over with your doctor.
Please let me know what you think
