Hey im Dee,
I actually am looking for support advice on how I’m feeling I’ve never experienced this feeling before and don’t feel myself anymore and wondering if anyone can relate to my symptoms i think it’s anxiety but i dont know.
i have like severe agitation like i feel restless and have been having insomnia past two weeks. sometimes i have racing head like a rush if i can explain it, like i feel confused, i get head pressure without feeling like a migraine just throb to my ears, nose and temples.. I don’t feel myself to the point i feel depressed.
im 34 and I’ve experienced anxiety before but this feels so much worse like i don’t know how to get rid of it. It’s been 3-4 weeks .. I started natural anxiety stress tabs and magnesium for sleep. So much sleep is bit better, but I feel like how I feel is like a wave and I crash.
It’s affecting my life and I just want to be me again.
any questions please ask, and please help in any way.
thanks Dee x

Hi Dee,
Welcome and thank you for reaching out to us.
What you are experiencing sounds very unpleasant and could be related to many things, both physically and/or mentally. For example, you may have a vitamin/mineral deficiency, your blood pressure may be too high or too low, your anxiety may be increasing, you may be ingesting too many stimulants or at the wrong time of the day and is affecting your sleep, the list is endless.
The only way to be sure of what you are dealing with is to visit your GP and explain your symptoms as you have here. They may be able to diagnose your symptoms easily or they may arrange some tests to rule out some of the common causes of your symptoms. What you are experiencing is not normal, as you are already aware, and should be looked at by a professional sooner rather than later to put your own mind at rest. Once you know what you are dealing with, you can takes the steps needed to resolve it.
Please get yourself checked out and feel free to continue this conversation if you wish.
Take care,
indigo

Hi indigo,
I have seen my GP And have done a blood test three months ago which has shown to only be low vitamin D.
my blood pressure fluctuates and the only thing that has changed was that I was getting a headache. My blood pressure went up a little bit and my GP decided to change my medication. Once he changed my medication that’s when all these symptoms have started and I’ve also noticed that my blood pressure has dropped a little bit so now he has told me to go back on my old medication which was a lower dose.
however I don’t understand the agitation the insomnia and also the anxiety that comes and goes in the racing thoughts, sometimes I also have an increased heart rate even when I’m not really thinking of anything. I’ve gone back to my GP and he keeps putting it down to anxiety and I don’t really understand why I feel this way and it’s causing me to feel in a low mood.

Hi Dee,
Thank you for the additional information. I have a few other questions.
Has your doctor prescribed any other medication to help with the anxiety?
Have you discussed the other natural tablets you are taking in case there is a negative interaction with the prescribed medication? This can sometimes occur.
Is there anything that has happened in the recent past or in the distant past that may be playing a role in how you are feeling? Perhaps an event that affected you emotionally that was not dealt with properly at the time. Supressed emotions can cause havoc with our health in many ways over time.
Would it be worth getting some help from a counsellor to get another opinion or viewpoint on your anxiety symptoms? Your GP can help with this or you can call one of the helplines to find out what supports there are in your area.
Sorry for all the questions, just trying to help you get to the bottom of it.

Hi Dee
It definitely pays to wonder on occasion. While I wondered about some of the possible suspects indigo's wondered about, another leads me to question whether there's a history of migraines in the family, more specifically 'silent migraines' (migraines without headaches). I used to experience these myself and the side effects were unusual and even stressful in some cases. They'd always begin with pressure through my sinus region, nothing uncomfortable but definitely pressure. As they progressed over the weeks, they came with added side effects, such as what felt like energy spikes through my brain (mental hyperactivity) and nervous system (physical hyperactivity), occasionally feeling like I was spaced out and my brain didn't allow me to mentally process what people were saying to me and so on. While my GP put these episodes down to anxiety, a second opinion led me to another GP who sent me for a brain MRI. Luckily I was experiencing one of these migraines while in the MRI machine, which was rather miraculous timing.
Migraines are said to stem from harmless changes in blood pressure in the brain and a change in the electrical communication in the brain. So, it's kinda like feeling pressure side effects in certain parts of the brain, side effects from sudden surges or charges and side effects from sudden chemical shifts. What causes the migraines is a whole other story. Outside influences can generate the shifts such as stress, environmental energy factors, certain medication/food/drink (ingested chemistry), chemical imbalances brought about by poor sleep/a lack of certain vitamins or minerals/suppressants/stimulants etc. Some of this indigo's already touched on.
Not knowing what's going on with us can definitely be stressful at times. Once we know, we can then say 'Nothing to worry about, it's just a harmless glitch' or 'I now know how to manage this' or something else that give us a sense of relief. I hope you get to the bottom of what you're experiencing. Again, it pays to wonder.
