How to learn to say no!

Guest5643

Hi i want to start this thread for people to help others with tips on how to learn to have the courage to say no. I would add some but i dont have any because im still struggling with trying to learn it. Unfortunatly people see my weakness and take full advantage of it. Today my neighbour asked to use my dryer to get her cat hair off her sheets. She has clean sheets i have her cat hair in my dryer and due to my hyperosmia the fragrant smell left in what was an odour free dryer has sent me nauseas headache major anxiety. I wish there was a self esteem type workshop you could go to and magicaly come out with confidence to stop being used all the time.

Thanks for all the great replies👍

My neighbour asked me again to feed her indoor cat and plants for a few weeks while shes away.

Well she dosnt actualy asked she says 'you dont mind feeding the cat and watering the plants do you' whie standing super close.

Of course everytime, i immediatly say of course not while screaming inside the opposite. The first time i did it she was annoyed because i killed 2 of her indoor orchids. I watered one just how she told me and the other one was in her bedroom that she never told me about. She wouldnt let me turn air con on for cats on the stifling hot days last summer. She goes away alot and ive fed alot.

During a short period of time when she had no cats i asked her once if i could put my flea free very clean cat in her laundry area for a few hrs while i was smudging my house. She made it very clear absolutly not. Its apparantly all one way only.

I realy dont like having another neighbours key in my possesion.

I left her a note 'Due to complicated reasons its best to have a friend feed kitty plants ect'.

Shes gonna interogate me when i see her.
