Hi Clarissa,
Welcome to the forums. It is great to have you here! Thank you for posting and sharing your situation with us. It is extremely brave and courageous of you to reach out to us and this is amazing!
Sorry to hear that you are struggling at present. You mention that you are going through some big moves in your life. If you don't mind me asking, what moves are these? Would you mind elaborating on this so that we are able to assist you further?
I am sorry that you feel that your family doesn't support you as much as you would like. What support network do you have in place at the moment? Besides your family, do you have friends or anyone else you are able to reach out to? It is important to be honest, clear and concise with the assistance you seek/want from your family members. Providing support to someone struggling isn't an easy thing to do and at first we often don't get it right but clear communication is key.
May I ask if you are receiving any other support from health professionals? Do you see your GP or a psychologist regularly to discuss what your going through? If you feel that you are overwhelmed and your feelings/emotions are impacting on your overall well-being and quality of life, it would be a good idea to consider seeing your GP and discussing treatment/intervention options. If applicable to your situation, your GP may recommend a combination of medication and therapy.
Hope this helps.
Look forward to hearing back from you shortly.
Nick.

Hi Nick
We are planning on moving interstate and I have lived here in my home town for 40yrs. I know it can be a great move but it wasn’t my idea, so I am struggling at times with being on board.
I have a great GP and am on anxiety medication which helps heaps throughout the day. I just wake up every morning feeling sick and worrying about something but it changes all the time.
I also teach so it keeps me really busy and keeps my mind of things. I’m also moving away from my family. I feel so guilty about moving the kids away from their grandparents, but they say it’s fine and they support us.
I just feel overwhelmed at the moment.
Thx

Hey Clarissa,
Thanks for your reply! Hope your fairing better at present.
We always struggle and take a while to process and adapt to change or a new environment so don't sweat it!
It is amazing that you have a great GP and it seems like you have an excellent therapeutic relationship and this is so important for your journey to recovery.
You teach? That is so amazing. It is a great way of keeping your mind preoccupied and worrying less about your health! May I ask what you teach? Sometimes we need a little break from our family. It could be a good thing to be honest. Support networks are great and knowing that they are there for you and love you is so so crucial!
I hope to hear from you again shortly and that you continue progressing along. It is a long journey but it makes the "other side" that much better when you get there and you will!
Nick.
