Drank and kissed two men

Hi All, it's been a rough day some of this is self inflicted. I understand that. Last night a enjoyed a few drinks and ended up missing two different guys. I'm single.

I live in a small town and everyone knows everyone. I'm panicking it will get to my workplace and everyone will be talking about it.

I'm scared and just about to go into an emotional breakdown over it.

I know the act itself wasn't bad as they are single too. But it's more the social scrutiny that's really working me up. Help!

Hi lovely,

Sometimes the fear of other people's reaction can cause us to feel anxious because we worry how they will view us and that we will be judged. This is a super common thought process for those of us that feel anxious! And even for people that don't suffer from anxiety.

When I'm in this state I try to ask myself is it true and do I have any evidence that it's happening? I try not to future think too much as that's also part of my anxiety but sometimes I do try to figure out if a particular scenario comes up how will I react/what's the worst that can happen?

It's hard to break the habit of being worried about what others think. It takes practice but you can absolutely get past this.

Hope you're feeling a bit better about it today.
