Breathing - Square Breathing

My shrink told me about Square Breathing (I’d never heard of it) & it has helped me immensely. It trains you to learn to how relax with deeper breathing. Generally do the exercises for 5 minutes 4 times a day. Even when you do get better, keep doing it.


YouTube has many videos explaining this method - choose one that you like.

Dear Shaker

Hello and welcome to the forum. Thank you for telling us about Square Breathing. It's title I have not heard of before. I was taught something very similar which was called belly breathing and as the name suggests it's usefulness is being able to breath deeply into your stomach.

I think we need to be reminded of these techniques from time to time. I know I forget when the need for deep breathing has passed and of course do not use it when it would be helpful.
