Hi there lovely nice to meet you xx I'm sorry you are feeling at a loss these days rnt easy to live in. I find everytime my anxieties come out to play I talk to them and tell them to go away it takes practice in doing this but once you have the hang of it the anxiety trends to subside. When it rears it's nasty head again you will have a technique that will help you manage it. Fresh air and sunshine is important for you even if it means sitting outside wherever you can doesn't necessarily mean that you have to go out anywhere if you don't feel like it and if there are days where it doesn't get the best of you walks along the beach or in a park are a great way to keep yourself at bay xx it also gives you time and space to think about things sometimes things become clearer and gain perspective in a bid to help you deal with things. I enjoy alone time outside it helps ground me. Took me a while to learn how to do this it helped me to get in touch with what was really going on inside me and was able to work thru my anxieties bc i know anxiety is very debilitating and I didn't want it to get the best of me. I wanted to be happy and free in life and I chose to fight and talk the nasties out of my mind. Journaling is a good tool for self recovery it can't talk back if you don't feel like talking. I hope my response has helped you in some way if u feel like its becoming unbearable then please take yourself to a doctor u may even need to start some meds to help get you back xx and there is nothing wrong with that xx please take care of yourself and keep reaching out to us we are all here for you xx Venessa

hello Tracey, it's such an awful place to be because you are never sure what you want to do or whether you have the strength or desire to do anything, but eventually the anxiety takes over so you don't do anything, and who is going to care anyway, you're not, but anyone who comes to see you will try and encourage you to go and shower as they say 'it may make you feel better'.
Every step you take towards the shower feels so heavy and you wonder why you have to even wash yourself, is it to make you feel clean or just to please someone else, because all you will do is cry when you're in there, but I think that the effort you put into doing this maybe a positive move, not that it's going to rid you of anxiety/depression, and by saying positive I mean you are using your brain to sort through this question which is indeed an enormous one to make.
Many days when you don't wash, it doesn't make any difference, but when you are able to shower the difference your body and mind feel is a change.
Try not to procrastinate and say you'll do it tomorrow, because you don't know how you will feel tomorrow it's another day and not the present. Geoff.
