Weird stuff has been going on and I dont think I'm ok I need help please whats going on

2 weeks ago i started hearing voices in my head. Sometimes they sound different in terms of tone and pitch, sometimes they're the same or very similar to mine. I keep feeling like everything is imaginary and fake, and I'm having trouble on concentrating on lots of things. I keep zoning out way more than I usually do. I have been diagnosed with AD/HD so it feels weird, I zone out and see things happening and hear them, but it all seems unclear and far away and unimportant. The voices I keep hearing seem to come and go, but whenever I zone out, they're always there and they seem more noticeably different then than other times. I keep getting dizzy randomly, and I keep forgetting things, even if they've just happened, like I listen to somebody say something and then realise that I don't know any of what they said, or (This is something that happened to me this morning) Waking up, and immediately finding a stickynote on my bedroom door with a message on it (I don't want to say it here). The door was locked (from the inside) and It wasn't locked when I went to sleep, so I'm nervous because I don't sleepwalk or anything.

At school earlier today, somebody came up to me and greeted me, saying we had talked before. I do have really bad memory, but I don't think it was memory this time because he greeted me with a different name and got confused when I said that it wasn't my name. This sort of thing has been happening to me alot for the past 2 weeks.

Also, a few times I've felt like I'm moving without trying, and at those times when I do try to move voluntarily then I can't, or only very slightly, like twitching my fingers and that's it. I don't even feel like me sometimes, and when I look in the mirror I have trouble recognizing myself as myself.

Does anybody know what this is?? Please Helppp

Hey there,

Welcome to the forums, we're really glad you could share here. It's a safe space, and there's some lovely people here who may have experience with some of the challenges you mention and might be able to relate to what you're going through. We're here to listen and to help, and we're grateful that you shared this here.

It sounds like you've been having some really confusing experiences. We can imagine you'd be feeling really scared with that going on. We think it's really important to speak to someone about this so that you can get some support, and so you don't have to deal with it on your own. Here's some ways to get support: If talking about it in person seems a bit tricky, you can always call our Support Service on 1300 22 4636. Other options are Sane on 1800 18 7263 or online, or Kids Helpline 1800 551 800.

Thank you again for your courage and strength in sharing your story. It might take some time for our kind community to spot your post, but we’re sure they will soon be here to offer their support and understanding.

Kind regards,

Hi Tsqrdflxkrat,

Wellcome to our forums!

Im sorry you are feeling this way I understand it would feel distressing for you.

When you say you hear voices do you think you can “ hear “ them like someone is talking to you on a speaker or are they inside your head more like a thought?

I know when we feel this way things seem confusing.

Have you been able to talk to your parents about what you are experiencing?

You could talk to your gp about how you are feeling and what you always experiencing.

Here to chat to you

Hi Tsqrdflxkrat,

I'm so sorry to hear you're dealing with these experiences right now, they sound really scary.

I agree with the other comments here that the number 1 priority for you should be to reach out to a GP and most likely they can refer you onto a psychologist or other specialist who will be able to help you work through this.

It's really difficult to say what this could be. Are you on any medication for your ADHD? Perhaps if you are it needs adjusting?

The main thing concerning me about your comment is hearing the voices. This could be a sign of a more complex mental condition - which is why getting to doctor asap is key.

In the meantime, are you able to confide in someone close to you, like family? For your safety and for support it would be helpful if someone knows what you're going through.

Let us know how you're getting on.

Hi Tsqedflxkrat,

I hope you are doing okay and feeling alright, that sounds like a very confusing time. I also hope you managed to figure out what it was in these past two months. If not, your description does sound familiar to me.

Its absolutely something to talk about with a psychologist, preferably someone who specialises in dissociation. I specify because your everyday garden variety therapist might not know the techniques that help dissociation. Still, I'm really sorry if my understanding here is entirely off the mark. All the best.
