Hello

Febry
Community Member

Hi,

I've only decided to greet everyone properly now but I've joined this forum for around 2 weeks maybe.

Well, a little bit about myself, I'm a high school student and I've had anxiety, phobia and depression for a couple of years now. I've had psychiatric visits a while back but it didn't go so well after a while and there were a major financial problem in my family, so I stopped it all together.

I decided to join this forum (and beyondblue) because I've been hearing good reviews about it at school.

Tbh, at first I was a bit skeptical and anxious whether this forum would give any support or advice, given that everyone is suffering and they're not feeling well themselves to be, you know, supporting other people (sorry if this sounds offensive). But how wrong I was. From only one thread, I can already tell that this forum is a very understanding and helpful community, and I'm hoping to get along with everyone soon.

Anyway, I'd like to chat and get involve more with this forum and hear different journeys and advice from/of fellow survivors in here.

Well, that's as far as introduction goes.

Hope you everyone will have a joyous (or at least more happier) weekend.

Best Wishes,

Febry

Hi Febry, welcome

I suggest you do regular reading on the forum. Say a couple of threads a night.

Do you have a chosen career path? Profession you'd like to pursue?

Being anxious takes a lot of work to reduce. I have a favourite youtube guy called Maharaji. If you listen to his wisdom you'll get a lot out of him. Google- Maharaji Sunset and Maharaji the perfect instrument. There are many more.

Glad you are here.

hello Febry, I am so pleased that this site has been discussed among your friends as well as others, that's very encouraging to see that it's being spoken about because it's growing everyday.
Being able to read comments for the past 2 weeks would only show you that all we want to do is to help those that are experiencing any type of depression, and to offer anything we can so they can get on with life.
We all go through life where there are times when we come to a cross road and only happen to go the wrong way, that's not your fault, but it's because of certain circumstances which we may not be in control of, however there is always a way back which we may need help and support to direct us.
You seem to be a very sensible adolescent, almost an adult, and that gives you a strong foundation to build on, sure there are times when you maybe grabbing at straws but that's a part of life, however to suffer from those three conditions would certainly be pulling you back, which I'm sorry for.
There would be times when all you do is hide behind a false personality, indicating to others that there is nothing wrong with you and then trying to help those others who maybe asking for your help, so by doing this is only going to exhaust you even further until you just collapse when you get home.
You maybe busy with exams very soon but never the less we would love to hear back from you. Geoff. x

Hi Tony, Thank you for replying. Also thank you for the suggestions. 🙂 I'll try to read more threads in this forum because it somehow calm me and different stories from other people interest me, their journey precisely. For career path, I'm not sure at this point. I used to want to be a doctor but now I've lost any passion I've had I guess. Idk, I haven't been looking that far into the future. but, hopefully I'll figure it out later. Also thank you for the video. Maharaji's words brings a kind of positive energy of some sort. Thank you for that.

Hi Geoff, Thank you for replying. And thank you for the kind words and support. I'd love to hear more from you as well, as you seem to be very understanding and you've had (or still has) a very long journey so I'll be looking forward to any advice or words that you give.

Thank you both for kindly replying and welcoming me into this forum. I'm looking forward to get involve more with the community. Thank you and have a great night. I hope Monday won't be to stressful to both of you.

Best wishes

xx

Hi Febry,

A warm welcome 😊

I'm glad you decided to give this forum a go and told us a bit about yourself.

It seems like you've been through your fair share of difficult times. Sadly, psychiatrists can be expensive so it's not the most affordable option if your family is going through financial hardship.

I hope you find empathy around the forums and, only if you're comfortable, maybe we will hear more about your journey too.

There's also the social zone with forums for the lighter stuff if you need a break from all the gloom and doom here ha, ha.

hello Febry, thanks for getting back to us and it doesn'tmatter what you want to talk about I will be here just as Dottie and Tony.
Sometimes your post may go to page 2 or 3 and so on, so we may not know what you have been asking, and this isn't because we don't want to reply back to you, we certainly do, so if you don't hear back from us then add another comment onto your intial comment, that will then bring your post back to page 1.
The site is so busy but each one of us do have certain people we like to get to because we have formed a connection with them and that's what we want. Geoff. x
