Hi everyone,
this is my first time on this platform. I am quite new to all this. I have been dealing with anxiety since I was in yr 5 i never really knew what was going on. I used to get panic attacs. but for quite some time now i have been having suicidle thoughts. It has been going on for a wile now and i haven't told anyone about it. It started to get worse and worse so i finally got the nerve to tell my parents about it. I don't know what to do i'm really scared and feel unsafe in my own head.

Hi Gemima2007,
I would firstly like to commend you on posting on the forums here, so thank you for reaching out.
Also, it was very brave of you to tell your parents something that is very personal. An early step to help getting rid of these suicidal thoughts is to acknowledge it and tell someone. You are already well on your way in this process. You should be proud of yourself.
Do not fret, it is completely normal to feel worried about what you are feeling. There are people around you who care about you and want to help you, you should know that.
Keep on keeping on!

Hi Gemima2007,
I know your post was a little while ago now, but I hope you are still floating around on the forums.
Panic attacks and suicidal thoughts are really scary and you don’t have to go though this alone. I’m super glad that you let you parents know what you’re feeling/thinking. Would you maybe like to talk to a counsellor or psychologist about what’s been going on? I remember seeing the school psychologist in year 7 for anxiety and it was such a relief, like I could finally breathe again.
It might not be for you but I’d love to hear how you are going. We can help on the forums with any questions or worries you have.

Hi friend!
If you have been having these thoughts and keeping it to yourself, I feel like you should open up to someone. I understand that Its uncomfortable to talk about it and its a topic that people are afraid and worried to converse, talking to a hotline is a really good alternative than family and friends if you are not ready. There are plenty of hotline services that stay anonymous and provide support. I have used them before, and it's really nice to not worry about who you talk to as they are there to listen to you and support you without any judgments and strings attached. They are professionals who have handled things before and I would recommend this.
