Hi all,

After being convinced by the partner, I have accepted that I need to address some issues.

I have made some fairly big changes in my life, change of job, lifestyle, and moving in with my partner of three years who also has three young kids. And recently, I haven't been myself and it is starting to affect many aspects of my life.

Looking for people to express myself with that may have been in a similar position as I don't believe my friends or family will be able to provide any real help or assistance.

Cheers all.

Hi Perthling and welcome to the forums.

We are a peer based support who want to help and support each other during though times. Mental illness and stress can hit us at any time and it can happen to anyone. I myself have GAD and was officially diagnosed 3 years ago. I am glad I started going on the forums to help support others and get support when I am struggling.

If you have any questions or anything you want to talk about feel free to do so on the forums. We are all in a similar boat

hello Perthling, welcome to the site and happy to be here with you, just as MP is.
All of us have been through our own type of depression so there's so many experienced people who you can talk to, and once your comment develops, then particular people will be able to join in with your conversation. Geoff.

Hi Just smile

I myself have GAD with some depression. I find some days I am good, however some days I struggle. But with help and support the struggle becomes less and less. I do have flair ups, but I make sure I go back to my psychologist and see my GP for management. It takes time to get the mix right. I listened to the Osher Gunersburg podcast and he shared his struggle with his mental health. He is going through a journey of adjusting his treatment. It is good to know that you are not alone, and sometimes we have to change things up to make sure we are as good as we can be.
