New Here and quite alone

Hi Everyone,

I hope there are others out there to talk to, well I know there are, but I seem to have a hard time finding them. I'm Stormy, I have a rather complex diagnosis, so I won't get into that right away. I am currently in Tasmania and am working with a psychologist and social worker now to move back to the US. (Long story) After 15 months of being here I only recently found out about services available (I am remote) because my GP never told me about them. I found out about Beyond Blue from my psychologist and am hoping to connect here and not only receive some support, but to offer some as well.

Sorry, can't think of much else right now. Just feeling really lost and alone, life no one really listens to what I am saying.

Hi Stormy

Thanks for posting...It takes a lot of strength to do so and good on you!. Being remote can present some issues but with technology we are a lot closer to each other which is great stuff

Ive had anxiety for years followed by depression and take meds which work very well. (just to let you know who you are talking to)

You are not alone here in any way Stormy and we are good listeners too 🙂

There are many gentle people on the forums that can be here for you too. Its a really safe and judgemental free place to post too!

Great to have you here 🙂

my kind thoughts

hello Stormy, welcome to the site.
I see that Tony and Paul have given you a big welcome as well, and I think we can all say that MI is very complex in itself, simply because it involvles so many little problems that are linked to what concerns us the most.
The people who we want to help us drift away, they can't and don't want to understand, plus they don't want to follow us through our journey, I think that's our most disappointing aspect to mental illness.
You are most welcome to return back to us, there will always be someone here to listen and then offer some helpful advice. Geoff.

Hi Geoff,

Thanks for the welcome. I am just getting back to everyone for their welcomes and catching up on what is available on the site. I spent some time in the hospital, so I got behind a bit. Not that it helped at all, but that's another story.

I've dealt so much with people walking away and not wanting to help or having the ability to and that includes doctors. They are often the biggest disappointment.

I hope I can find some comfort here and find some peace, finally.

Take Care, Stormy.

I see the usual welcome wagon has rolled in the three before me are great support with there collective wisdom. Me I am the clown in the bunch. Just like Patch Adams. I try to help cure people through humor and wisdom. I rarely take my self to serious but when I do thing usually start moving fast. But once again welcome
