Hello. This is the first time I've ever posted on a forum. I need help to manage my anxiety please. It is trying to take control of my life again. It's not that I have anything to be overly anxious about. But my body is being taken over by that crawling feeling through my legs and arms. It makes me feel physically ill morning and night so that I have to lie down. I am on medication but it isn't helping right now. I know meditation works for me but I am struggling to even do the breathing properly as my chest feels tight. I can't sleep at night. I know exercise will help but I am just getting over being sick and can't get out and about just yet. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make this feeling go away right now? Thank you.

hello Anxiousme, thanks for posting because it must surely be such a difficult time for you and I'm deeply sorry as anxiety leads to depression, the two of these are always together.
By being sick doesn't help you at all it only increases how you feel and does make it even worse.
I'm not qualified but your body is trying to overcome your sickness, while your medication is coping with your MI, so there's a lot happening in your body, perhaps you could ask Dr.Kim as she has a thread where you can ask her questions, it maybe on page 1, 2,3 or type in Dr.Kim in the search bar. Geoff.

Thank you Geoff. I have always had the depression (that used to be my major concern) as well but that is kept in check with the medication. It's the anxiety that gets out of control. I felt it all day yesterday, so last night instead of just watching TV I made up some essential oil blends, put on some meditation music and did some colouring with my daughter before bed. I had the best sleep that I've had in months. Hopefully getting over being sick will allow my body to cope again.
