Hi tallperson93,
I'm sorry to hear that you've felt that way. You're definitely not alone though.
You mentioned being far away from your family and friends, would you feel comfortable to reaching out to them online?
I'm really glad that you have posted on these forums as we are a very non-judgemental bunch.
Here for you!

hi and welcome.
it can seem scary when you have these feelings as you mentioned and might not know how to describe them. As missep123 indicated, talking with someone can be helpful. Not sure how long you have been feeling this way but you could also look at the K10 test on the beyond blue web site which does not take long and you will get a recommendation at the end.
In writing here you have also made a good start. I did not have much of a vocab when I started to see a psychologist. Over time we have talked about things that have happened and related thoughts and feelings which has helped. There are also apps you can use on your phone. There are other threads on the forums on the forum that are helpful, including the social section. We all find ways of managing and coping or hope to.
I look forward to chatting more with you.

Hello Tallperson93, and a warm welcome.
It can be difficult to open up to people you don't know or what they look like, sometimes this is exactly what they want, but by opening up a new thread allows you to say whatever is a concern for you, take your time.
Geoff.
