Trouble Sleeping

My mother has severe depression/anxiety and has trouble sleeping for a long period of time at night. Does anyone else have this problem and if so what do you do to help to go to sleep and stay asleep? Mum has been taking sleeping tablets but has been taken off them as they weren't working. She was having to take more each night for little affect.

I use chamomile tea - tastes yuck but it seems to work for me. I'm new to this journey, I was diagnosed only on Sunday and from reading the bits and pieces on my meds, I know there's some herbal stuff I can't have, so just double check that she can drink it, if she wants to try it.

There is a new class of AD available in Australia which also improves insomnia and sleep. Ask your GP for more info on this to see if they know anything about it. Hopefully it helps your mother out
