Hi John,

Yes your GP can absolutely do a blood test for those things. I've had many before! All of the ones you've mentioned are also bulk billed by Medicare so they should be free for you.

Hello. What type of blood test do I need to request? Also, I have been doing some research and a SPECT brain imaging scan seems can identify AHDH, anxiety and depression in the brain. Has anyone got any experience with this and also how do I get one?

Hi John,

If you have a chat to your GP he will know what to request - all you need to do is ask him what you've asked us here.

I haven't had a SPECT scan myself, but there is a thread about that here if you want to take a look -

Hopefully your GP can provide some more insight into that too.
