Hi , just wandering how long it takes for withdrawal symptoms to dissapear? I have been on a lot of different medication the strongest ones for insomnia. I have stopped taking them now and the withdrawals are terrible, headaches, flu like symtoms and feeling nauseas. Insomnia is terrible getting about two hours a sleep at night if im lucky.

Hi Geoff like i said my doctor really does not care , i have told her of the side effects ive had from medications and she tells me they do not have side effects. I am very sensitive to medications if i take panadol for instance on an empty stomach i will be sick for a good six hours or more.

Do you sleep through the day Mary I know they say to get into a routine but I find with deep tired & exhaustion which no doubt you'd be feeling just get it when you can until you catch up. We need it so bad, you get desperate plays hell with our emotions
EVERYTHINGs harder isn't it

Feel sorry for people that have constant sleep probs it's so important

Nope i dont sleep throught the day , i go from very sleepy to overly sensitive to light etc. I dont know why its such a big deal for doctors to put me on something that will just make me sleep. I think the effects of long term insomnia are worse than any addiction to the sleeping pill.

Hi Mary yeah agree long term affects from insomnia would be the pits, was thinking that about them being addictive, the ones I take during BP help mostly and are highly addictive but I only really need them during cycles so ok but jeez you need sleep. Even if they could give you say half a dozen to get the body relaxing and some needed rest. Feel for you

That'd be rough being overly sensitive to light too. Do you wear glasses or have those eye covers could help when trying to sleep but I guess at night you wouldn't need them.
