I will be away from the forum for a few days. Going to visit my son. I hope to chat with you more when I return.

Hello Rob
Sorry to take so long to get back to you. I have been home for some days but unfortunately returned with an illness. Feeling much better now.
We, which includes the people who answered you, have been talking about getting a diagnosis from your psychologist. How are you managing about this? As I said above, I have mixed feelings about a diagnosis. It can be comforting in many ways to know what is happening but unlike a physical illness, the all the symptoms may not be present. And often looking at all the possible symptoms included in that diagnosis can be scary. Worst of all is trying to find answers to problems that simply don't exist for you.
It seems to me that treating your various difficulties, possibly several symptoms together depending on how appropriate this is, one at a time may prove more beneficial for you. Perhaps another topic to talk about with your psychologist.
I wonder if you think you have a specific disorder and want to know if this is the case. As in "I hope I have a cold and not pneumonia" thinking. But being afraid of it being something worse. If this is the case then please talk about it with your psych.
Sometimes we simply need to come to an understanding that we have various bits that could do with some help and forget the name.
I hope you will continue to post in and talk about any other topics of your choice.
Mary
