It's turned really hot again here too Mark. We got a nice cool breeze in the late afternoon the last couple of days, it was reallynice, but looks like we are in for another heatwave here. I will be glad when summer is over, I just don't like hot weather.
The kids start school early don't they Mark - I thought most kids don't go back until after the Australia Day long weekend? I can imagine your son is nervous, it's a big change and a bit scary the first day or so. The other kids will be feeling the same.
I was chatting to a lady at the cafe today, her daugher works for the National Parks - they had a beached whale near there the other day but it was sick and had to be euthanazed unfortunately. I'm glad there are people who go and check on the animals like that and get the vet to at least put them out of misery.
Looks like a baking hot afternoon and evening here . I will be so glad when summer is finished! Heaps of holiday makers have come into town for the last week or so of the holidays so the traffic is really busy too. I'm going to relax now!

Hi Mark, the heat here yesterday was dreadful. I had to do a big grocery shop today, supermarket shopping is exhausting.
I hope things go well for your son today. I hope he finds a couple of nice friends and doesn't have to put up with any nasty bullying. Let me know how it went.

That's good news Mark! I hope the other kids were OK and that your son will be able to make friends and settle in. It takes a bit of time. That's the first day over, and that's the hardest. He can start to settle in now. I bet he's tired tonight and you relax a bit now - you're such a good Dad and you worry about your kids. Have a break, make yourself a cuppa or what you want and relax for a while.
Looks like we're in for a shocker of a heatwave from Wednesday on. I hope your plants and vegetable gardens cope with the heat.
Your boy did well today and he's lucky to have such a supportive Dad!

Not a good day for my son as he had his laptop stolen the first day he takes it and he told me he is being bullied.I am angry with myself for sending him to that school and having that happen to him.I don't want him to go through what I had to in school.

Hello Matchy,
Okay, second-hand, but that doesn't mean it wasn't stolen any less.... & to think your son is being bullied, too... what could the school have to say for itself? What was all the preparation for?
Yeah, I'm angry these things happen.
& I wonder if you could appeal the NDIS decision to not fund the laptop you had hoped for?
Hugzies
